New Decemberists Collaboration 2017-05-05 by theBonerKing | 5 Comments | The Decemberists have announced their new project Offa Rex, a collaboration with singer Olivia Chaney. They will release an album called The Queen of Hearts on July 7. Recorded at Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy's farm in Portland, the album features performances of British folk songs. Chaney sings eight of the songs, while Meloy sings two. There is also one instrumental piece, performed on accordion by Jenny Conlee.
Chaney and the band have also announced a handful of Offa Rex shows, including ones in Portland and New York City. Chaney will also be touring with The Decemberists this summer as their opener.
