PWR BTTM stream Pageant 2017-05-05 by hesperus | 11 Comments | Queer rock duo PWR BTTM are streaming their new album, Pageant, through NPR in advance of the album's May 12th release date.
Pageant includes previously released singles "Big Beautiful Day," "Answer My Text," and "LOL." The album expands upon the garage punk style of PWR BTTM's 2015 debut, Ugly Cherries, adding elements such as horns, strings, and the operating vocals of member Ben Hopkins' mother.
Stream Pageant here: http://www.npr.org/2017/05/04/526814418/first-listen-pwr-bttm-pageant
The album can also be preordered via PWR BTTM's Bandcamp: http://pwrbttm.bandcamp.com/

My fiance has been absolutely obsessed with LOL, which is just phenomenal, so super psyched to check this out
| | |
Yeah LOL is definitely a highlight. Reminds me of a more concise version of House in Virginia from their last album.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I've become obsessed with this band this year, this is the highlight of my day. Liv is a goddess.

Spoiler alert was correct, this is fucking amazing. Usually I fucking love when bands release albums that are 30 minutes long but not in this case, this went by too fast, I desperately need more.
The horns on the title track tho

"Answer my text" came up on my mix today. Fun stuff.
