oh gawwwwwwd the stream of the title track live is gorgeous. i appreciate the fairly smooth tone of all the instruments; it's a welcome change-up from kurt ballou's insanely repetitive approach of recording everything clearly and sharply, then compressing it all into a (positively) claustrophobic and messy, dirty mix. this live recording has retained those two former qualities but the instruments are give more space to breathe and its beautiful yet still fuckin crushing.

Nah, I don't care too much for live albums unless it's something *really* special. I already have Jane Doe on vinyl, I don't need a live rendition of it.

I'd essentially only buy it on CD for that real life reconstruction artwork but in the end I guess I'd probably prefer to just buy a print if they were available.

I hear you. I'm not for live records very much myself, but for some reason, I like the idea of this. I have it on vinyl as well, but went ahead and picked one up. Just another way to hear the record, for me.

I'll sample it when it's up for streaming and if it sounds different enough to seem essential, I'll buy it, but there are perhaps only 10 live albums I can name that I'd ever call essential (even though my favourite album ever is a live album)

A remaster of You Fail me and now a live Jane Doe album...iunno I think band is closing it down. My guess is their next album will be it for them just like Dillinger this year. Jacob doing his crappy solo shit also convinces me I'm right
