Well its no Underclass Hero, but it suffices.
| |
call that deryck whibley swagger
uh that arnold schwarzenegger
| |
I'll admit this is nowhere near as bad as their last few releases have been, but after hearing it, this just confirms I have absolutely no interest in this band anymore.
| |
The chorus vocals don't really mesh with the music imo
| |
lelz at all these old rusty pop punk bands reunions while the modern scene is doing greater than ever
| |
is the oddly black guy still in the band tho
| |
its not bad im really rooting for deryck here
| |
that black guy really creeped me out when i was a kid watching their music videos
| |
his appearance just made me uncomfortable every time, i don't know, someone back me up on this
| |
and yet it was very fascinating to look at him, trying to fight my fears
| |
sorry bud, youre on your own with this one.
| |
If you're talking about the guitarist, Dave Baksh, he is back. But i've never seen any of their video clip so I don't know who you're talking about.
| |
That Black Guy
| |
im not racist btw
| |
just sayin' that dude was a mystery back then
| |
No idea then.
| |
yeah yeah dave baksh it's him very specific surname (IM NOT RACIST OK)
| |
You're obviously racist. (Ah ah aha ha)Non-racist people are not aware of people's skin color.
| |
maybe i am racist...
| |
you prob are
| |
Anyway, Dave is back and I hope is gonna write new songs.
And I like the song by the way.
| |
Track slays.
Hyped as hell for the album.
| |
waiting for sowing's hearing on this
| |
Song is fucking amazing best track from TDAG by quite some margin.
| |
Album artwork is kinda lame. Looks like a bad tattoo. Song's alright.
| |
Album artwork is underwhelming, yet the song is one of the best they've done in a while.
| |
Chorus is like a rip off of their song Thanks for Nothing.
| |
Yeah, there was a song on chuck that had nearly the same chorus as one on All Killer no Filler too.
| |
sum 41 ripping off sum 41 is not a new concept at all
| |
Yay Dave is back
| |
IIIIIIIII'VE HEARD THIS ALL BEFOOOOOOORE
REALITY'S A BOOOOOOORE
Whoops, wrong song.
| |
This ain't bad at all. Glad to hear these guys are stepping up their game.
| |
Really glad to see them back with some new material now. Happy to see Deryck is fine and the whole team is united again. Song is like a birthday present, me as a former Sum 41 enthusiast am more than happy after all this time. The track is awesome, definetly looking forward to the album (even though as many already have mentioned the album cover is really underwhelming, but I hope there's a reason to it)
| |
Good song with a weird mix imo. Maybe because of youtube as always.
| |
sounds more like something off chuck than their last 2 albums I think, so that's good
| |
That actually all that bad.
| |
Song is fine, haters will say it's the worst thing ever though of course.
| |
That chorus is straight out of the Does This Look Infected? playbook and I am FEELING IT
| |
Song was pretty good, surprisingly. I was expecting this album to be better once it was announced Dave was back but I'm still kind of surprised that this was as solid as it was. Mix is kind of weird though.
| |
Listen on YouTube at x1.25 speed. It turns into an old school punk song.
| |
The vocals are mixed weird, but otherwise I'm fine with the mix.
Song's pretty damn good otherwise.
| |
baksh completely made this band
| |
sounds exactly like their older stuff
| |
Not bad at all. Pleasantly surprised, actually.
| |
Honestly I am surprised people aren't completely shitting on this song and on the band. Ya they had some stumbles but Sum 41 in their prime had some really great albums and I feel like they are one of the most unnecessarily hated bands around the internet. People act like they are fkin Emmure or something.
| |
"Honestly I am surprised people aren't completely shitting on this song and on the band."
why would we? its a good song. sum 41 hate comes from the fact their last two albums are terrible.
| |
I really don't see what separates this song so much from other songs on their previous album like Screaming Bloody Murder and Blood In My Eyes.
| |
to be fair, Screaming Bloody Murder and Blood In My Eyes were more or less the only good songs on that album so...
| |
Jessica Kill was the best on that album, albeit a minute or two too long.
| |
can't say I remember Jessica Kill at all and I used to overplay this album to death back in the day.
| |
So now we are up to 3 good songs on their last album but the most liked review on this website has it at a 1.5. See why I say they are unnecessarily hated?
| |
i think you're just really butthurt
| |
Well nah, it IS a terrible album (though I like it a tad more than others) because youre stuck with a record that has the band at a creative rut with some of the most scatterbrained writing choices of any band on earth. songs like time for you to go and sick of everyone are enough to say the band was at an all time low.
| |
Oh i remember Jessica Kill, it always bothered me because the chorus rips off Still Waiting AND We're All To Blame at the same time.
| |
video for this song is easily the worst music video i've ever laid my eyes on ever holy fuck
| |
HOLY FUCK you weren't kidding. Not even Rivers Cuomo would stoop that low.
| |
Their first three records deserve higher averages and the past two are right where they belong
| |
Just made an article about the video.
Honestly, as stupid as the video was I laughed pretty hard at it.
| |
lol, it is bad alright
| |
Summer survey: Which story of a guitarist leaving a band taught you that it actually represents something ?
For me it was Dino Cazares replaced by Christian Older Wolbers in Fear Factory.
Sum 41 and KMFDM (Günter Schultz) came afterwards (In the timeline of my discovery of the bands, of course Günter left KMFDM before Dino left Fear Factory).
On the contrary there was a guitarist from Machine Head shifting to Ill Nino and I couldn't hear a difference.
| |
Frusciante leaving RHCP.
| |
This was my favorite single they released. The drumming, guitar, and lyrics are really damn good.
| |
On the contrary there was a guitarist from Machine Head shifting to Ill Nino and I couldn't hear a difference.
Machine Head massively changed when Luster went to Ill Nino. Ill Nino lost a lot of the flair they had when Marc Rizzo left to join Soulfly though (and Soulfly changed sound a bit when he replaced Mikey Doling).
