different for them, i dig it
| |
if some other band did this I'd dig it
Instead all the guitar work and the vocals and the drums and everything about it is just kind of annoying
| |
Guys, I found a leak for the chorus lyrics:
California, it's a funk jam!
Cali- California, funky fun jam!
California, golden state, man!
Cali- California, Californ-man!
| |
Wish we could get another btw or Californiacation
| |
let this band die in peace damn ):
| |
Killer
| |
I'm not surprised that this is boring, I mean is anyone?
| |
This is really chill. I dig it
| |
hmm
| |
I dig it
| |
not sure it's super amazing, but it has a unique sound
| |
Dark Necessities is better but this jams
| |
The first two minutes were pleasant but then it dragged until the end when it had a change of pace. Decent track but nothing groundbreaking.
| |
Dark Necessities is way better tbh
| |
drums sound like absolute shit again wtf danger mouse
| |
would gladly take handclap drums over the compressed shitfest that was Rubin's production
| |
rubin sucks too agreed drums have sounded shit since bssm/ohm
real shame
| |
I really dig I'm with you. I'm thinking I'm gonna like this
| |
This just in: Chad Smith leaves RHCP after being told he's not needed by producer Danger Mouse.
| |
It has a little different vibe than usual RHCP . but u can still listen to their sound!! liking it
| |
Sucks
| |
I think I am going to like this album quite a lot. Both songs have been great fun
| |
how can a band that used to be so great suck so much these days. from Deep Kick to this.....
| |
This band is just so MOR now, still put on a great live show though.
| |
"boring and shitty, isnt keidis gonna die soon from stomach ulcers or whatever?"
good job being a fucking shithead
| |
Is decent and enjoyable but not great. RHCP can do it better
| |
By the way, I'm glad that anthony has recovered
| |
The production is fucking awesome, say what you will about the song. The song is good too btw :3.
| |
Song isn't too bad, but is completely fucking ruined by the drums. Why is Danger Mouse producing this?
| |
It's fine. I'm never sure what to make of their new stuff. With how chill it is, I could see myself listening to those songs in some situation. Dark Necessities sounded great live though. But so did Rain Dance Maggie. And you know you're getting drums and bass live.
| |
If there's one thing I can say for sure, it's the best production they've ever had. Getting rid of Rubin was a good decision, Danger Mouse should do a remaster of Californication.
| |
chorus sounds like a pre-chorus to a really kick ass chorus but the song never actually goes anywhere. also that drum machine. yuck.
| |
I like the song, but it's obviously not what I expected, especially the boring drumming. I'm not sure what the right move for them is at this point tbh, stagnating would be bad too. I'm just hoping for maybe a bit more energy from the rest of the album. Especially since I'm considering seeing them on tour and hearing this live would be boring af.
| |
I'm not surprised that this is boring, I mean is anyone?
i mean most people like this so yeah totally
| |
Really surprised by how good these two singles have been; hope the rest of the album is as interesting.
| |
This song was pretty good. Neither song is absolute god-tier, but they make the album sound promising.
| |
People said the same thing at the time you guys are saying now about Snow, and it has become a classic -- a live staple and fan favorite. Not sure why the Chili's get such scrutiny, they've always been the biggest DGAF band anyways so I'm not sure why expectations are always so out of proportion.
| |
Snow still sucks
| |
Well Snow is not as repetitive and I have a soft spot for Snow cause I used to play it live, but its probably not even in my top 30 favourite RHCP songs tbh.
| |
Honestly, I can only listen to By the Way in their discog these days, and their last album was god awful. But the new singles have certainly pricked my interest; hope it doesn't disappoint.
| |
I like it about as much as I did Dark Necessities (i.e. alright), though I reckon the latter's a bit more catchy; mostly in part due to Flea's bass work. He's done much, much better in the past of course, though I dug what he was doing there.
| |
I like both singles so far. Looking forward to this now.
| |
Both singles have been pretty interesting. Obviously not the best they can do, but I like that they're trying something new.
Song ends pretty awesome though. Damn shame in my opinion the best melody only played for such a small section.
| |
By now i've come to accept that the band who wrote mother's milk isn't gonna make another album like that anytime soon. That being said, stadium arcadium and i'm with you were snooze inducing and these singles are interesting enough to look forward to a more decent release this time around.
| |
these songs are as interesting as a half eaten pastrami sandwich left out on the counter in the sun for a whole afternoon
| |
literally ever rhcp song tho
| |
Nah buddy their early period is excellent and very different than most of their popular singles.
| |
@torts disagree, hard. This is quite different to anything I've heard from these guys; I'm digging it.
| |
First single in a different league than this. Such a blah song.
| |
Dafuq is up with that "drumming"? Song was quite pleasant otherwise.
| |
i dont see how either of these songs are any different from something like Meet Me At the Corner.
| |
drumz
| |
Yeah don't know why they went for this or how chad agreed to it in the first place lol.
| |
Weak drums, weak song, like most of the last albums.
| |
Dark necessities was way better than this one, I felt it very plain and kind of boring tbh.
| |
