Founding member of Beastie Boys, John Berry IV, died on at 7:30 a.m. on May 19th. He was 52 years old, and had been suffering from frontal lobe dementia. His condition had worsened in recent months.

Their early stuff was admittedly never among their best works, but that hardcore punk attitude is what stuck with them and made them so special later on. Berry's also responsible for that legendary name, so there's that.
