Dzö-nga streams debut album 2016-05-17 by Sevengill | 6 Comments | Black ambient band Dzö-nga (zone-gah) has released its debut album, Five Treasures of Snow. The solo project draws influence from atmospheric black metal bands such as Paysage D'hiver and Coldworld, but forgoes drums entirely in favor of expansive, layered soundscapes.
Dzö-nga takes its name and lyrics from Tibetan and Sikkim legends surrounding the Himalayan mountains.
Track listing:
1. Rakshasa (The Demon) 8:38
2. Valley of Immortality 8:21
3. Eyes of God 7:17
4. Meditation / Where No Man Walks 10:49
The album is available at www.dzo-nga.bandcamp.com/ for any price.

if this had drums and intelligible vox this would easily be a 4.5. writing is definitely there, and the instrumentation that is there is DEFINITELY there, its just missing the intensity that comes along with percussion and higher vox in the mix
| | | not to mention that the concept is everything I want in bm
| | | This is interesting. I'm really enjoying the atmosphere of the music and vocals. It's all very hypnotic, but I totally agree, some percussion would make this better. I don't even think it needs to be a bm blasting, but just some light tribal neurosis like drumming could really add some flavor here.
| | | Agree with the others but yeah this is good stuff. I love how smoothly the mood changes, it takes me a few seconds to catch up sometimes
| | | NYP on Bandcamp too

| | | Thanks, guys. I turned up the vocals to give it some more oomph.
