Italian melodic death metal band Novembre have released a new song called 'Umana'. This song is from their upcoming album Ursa, which is expected to be released on April 1st 2016.

yup, this is every bit as amazing as I hoped it would be. they haven't skipped a beat.

this is probably the best thing they've done from a production standpoint too, undoubtedly due in no small part to the fact that Dan Swanö mixed it.

also, this album on April 1 and then the new Foreshadowing album two weeks later. April's gonna be a good month for Italian doom/gothic metal.

Everything about this is so on point, not even counting the emotion and compositional brilliance of it. This could easily end up as my AOTY; Umana is certainly the most impressive song I've heard so far in 2016.
