Progressive metal project Taravana has posted its new album Prevail in full. The 43-minute work is the first by Taravana as a full band, as keyboardist/songwriter Alex Newton (user pedro70512) is joined by guitarist Dan Bussells (Dogs & Day Drinkers) and drummer Aaron Maloney (This Or the Apocalypse).

A concept album about Ernest Shackleton's legendary expedition across Antarctica, [i]Prevail]/i] is set for release on November 21st, exactly 100 years after the events that inspired it. The album incorporates several genres ranging from death metal to classical, and features a guest appearance by cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne (Musk Ox, The Visit).

The album can be pre-ordered at https://taravanamusic.bandcamp.com and streamed on the band's YouTube channel.
