With radio and TV awash with "Emo" bands singing of teen angst and po-faced rock stars trying to save the world, it's time to put some straightforward FUN back into music,and who better to do that than four larger than life men from Dallas who are second to none when it comes to super-catchy, upbeat pop-punk that you can't resist singing along to.
The accompanying video is the first time the Texans' infamous live show has been captured on film. Recorded at the Hammersmith Palais gig on the band's sold out Get Happy Tour in February, the clip perfectly documents the all-out party that is a Bowling For Soup live performance. The band's loyal fans are an integral part of the show and many of audience members that night will be able to spot themselves in the video.
The band make an eagerly anticipated return to the Download Festival main-stage on June 9th. After a year's hiatus, Bowling For Soup are ready to return to the scene of their triumphant 2005 performance where they provided a welcome interlude to the relentless aural assault of the day's metal bill. The band are also pencilled in to make an appearance at the Kerrang signing tent during the weekend.
"I'm Gay" is released on A&G Records on June 11th. The album "The Great Burrito Extortion Case" is out now.
