Slash Denies VR Split 2006-04-02 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 8 Comments | In the latest of a series of rumours of unrest in the Velvet Revolver camp, hard rock fan site Metal Sludge this week alleged that guitarist Slash had packed up and left the band.
Speaking as he recorded a solo for the debut album by singer-songwriter Sarah Kelley, under the tutelage of Appetite for Destruction producer Mike Clink, Slash seemed surprised by the rumour and moved quickly to allay fans' fears, stating that as far as he knew he was "still in the band."
In other Velvet Revolver news, it is now unclear whether the band will fulfill their plans to begin sessions for their new album on April 10.
