Sufjan Stevens streams LP

2015-03-23 by StrangerofSorts EMERITUS | 28 Comments
Cult folk musician and Christmas enthusiast Sufjan Stevens is streaming his new LP Carrie and Lowell at NPR ahead of its March 31 release.

Reportedly named after his mother and step-father, Carrie and Lowell sees Sufjan step back from the electronic mania of Age of Adz to more familiar, gentle territory.

Stream here: http://www.npr.org/2015/03/22/393575866/first-listen-sufjan-stevens-carrie-lowell

You can listen to single "No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross" below.

Gonna check this soon, I've just been getting more into Sufjan. Illinois is a brilliant album, is this similar?

It's not much like Illinois, more like Seven Swans. I'm at work and am halfway through listening, so far it's the best thing he's ever done in my eyes.
