that soundcloud link is definitely better. if this track is representative of the average quality of the album it should be pretty good.

this song is pretty much the perfect example of why el-p is completely unnecessary for this record. listening to the soundcloud link (which im sure still isnt album quality) this has all the charm can-ox is known for and sounds just as they should. hopefully the whole album sounds like this.

there's a certain state of mind we need to have about the new release. you can't expect something on the same level as the cold vein, and the same goes for any group that waits this long after releasing a classic. I think the best thing to do is be prepared to be unsatisfied, but don't rule out the possibility of being pleasantly surprised.

song is pretty good, wish Doom's verse was a bit longer. it's just a shame that this band is getting defined by their only other album... which i guess is what happens when you put out one album and wait 14 years to put out another

doesn't sound much like an el-p beat.. i'm assuming he didn't do this one? song is ok but i thought the production was the best part of The Cold Vein (i don't like Vast Aire as much as most)

Avagantamos is spot on , you need to go into it as if you never heard the cold vein but its hard when you know they released one of the best hip hop records of all time. Kind of like every Nas release got compared to illmatic for the rest of his life.
In that case though the worse thing they could do is try and sound like the cold vein themselves. Its a tough one.

I hope that El-P isn't really involved with the production but that there is a feature with Run the Jewels. I'm a total bitch for hype though, so maybe that's just me.
