Not a fan. It has a nice bassline, and those chopped-up guitars are vintage Howlett, but it's a cheaper version of 'Omen' with a worse hook

hahah Firestarter
|
| |
not bad but pretty lame
|
| |
Pretty fun song.

Sounds like it could fit on The Fat of the Land. Good song, but nothing new sounding.
|
| |
ohhhh noooo they're featuring Flux on a song :[
|
| |
Because he's terrible now
Funny thing is, I remember them talking a few years ago (back when this was still called How To Steal A Jet Fighter) about how there would be no dubstep on the record. EDM had just become a "thing" and they wanted to make sure that the fans knew that they were gonna continue to do their thing.
And now we have Flux. Granted the track could be literally anything, but at the very least it will probably be quite terrible

It's not bad for a single. It seems like it was released to pique the curiousity of more casual listeners. If they hear this and they bought 'Invaders Must Die' because they heard 'Omen' on the radio, then this may just be enough to get them to do the same again. The bands loyal fans will be buying this regardless, so the single sounding like everything else in their repertoire is merely a very smart advertising hook.
|
| |
song has literally nothing original or interesting about it.
|
| |
well that was underwhelming
|
| |
Wow the drums sound like shit from 1997 nice
Song's boring after one listen though
|
| |
Nothing new here...
Interesting part at 1:58 - 2:12 though.
|
| |
Underwhelmed by this as well. Mmmmm.....
|
| |
It sounds like a Prodigy song
I'll check this out though, I actually liked "Invaders Must Die"
|
| |
New song is definitely underwhelming, but I'm just gonna hope the final product is much better than what we've heard so far.
|
| |
The Prodigy are my favourite group. so its just nice to hear something new from them. Its not ground-breaking like
anything from 'Jilted' or 'Fat of the Land', but its fun and will be a beast live! Bring on March 30th! (and May 7th for their
Birmingham show!)
|
| |
Like all prodigy songs it sounds exactly the same as all their other stuff
|
| |
This sucks.
|
| |
Like all prodigy songs it sounds exactly the same as all their other stuff
Except for all of their earlier work, then sure
|
| |
disappointed, but Invaders Must Die grew up on me so eh. more annoyed at them charging nearly forty quid a show
|
| |
I'll hold out for the album, but this was very disappointing.
|
| |
I like this
|
| |
looking forward to dev's review ^^
|
| |
It's The Prodigy we all know and... know.
|
| |
The bit at :50 is pretty neat
|
| |
haven't heard anything form these guys other than "Smack My Bitch Up". I'll probably give this a listen.
|
| |
The Fat of the Land and Music For the Jilted Generation are both phenomenal records, I'd recommend giving them a listen before this drops.
Not really impressed by this. Howlett's production is as great as ever but the repetition is mind-numbing.
|
| |
It's a fun song, but it's nothing ground-breaking. It's basically Omen if it was written for Fat of the Land.
|
| |
still loving this, looking forward to hearing the album
