Had a promotional copy of this for a while. It's not a grower, unfortunately, but it has its moments (particularly Nobody's Empire).

Haven't listened, but 'Nobody's Empire' is killer. I like it more than anything off of Dear Catastrophe Waitress, which was defs their most solid album

Viet Cong is so much better. Also, the new Sleater-Kinney is excellent too. B & S was pretty basic.

Well, Stuart Murdoch is a big Yes fan... It's the most experimental record they've ever done, and there are a few songs which run to six or seven minutes.

klapdar detected the leak on this last week. it's alright. some songs are sweet but a lot of them meander around. record as a whole is way too long. will probs review

album version of Nobody's Empire sounds over-embellished.
