X To Play Roxy on Sunset Strip

2014-06-10 by JohnXDoesn't | 3 Comments
One of the most original and creative rock 'n roll bands of the last 40 years will take to the stage this coming July 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, respectively, to
perform from start to finish each of it's first four classic albums. Los Angeles, Wild Gift, Under The Big Black Sun, and More Fun In The New World.

Largely regarded as four of the best albums in all of rock 'n roll both Los Angeles and Wild Gift are on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time and all four
albums took AOTY year honors or close to it upon release, dancing around the likes of Micheal Jackson, Bruce, Madonna, and other well established mainstream
artist. Long past but not forgotten X remain today and onstage are just as vital, it's songs just as relevant to these times as times past. To say these four
albums contain songs which are and will remain timeless classics for many generations would be accurate. Because like most great bands. X knows the value of a
good song. And great songwriting is what sets X apart from other punk rock ranters, then and now.

Tickets are on sale at $35 a night or $120 for a four night package. Quite a deal for those willing to travel or nearby. Summer time on the Sunset Strip and great
rock 'n roll from a great L.A. band at The Roxy? Sign me the hell up.

X have performed Los Angeles start to finish for one tour to celebrate its original release, but have never run through all four classic albums. And while many
songs are well worn from recent touring, a good deal of other favorites from the records have never been performed onstage, period. Or at least been long
forgotten.

A sure treat for rock 'n roll fans of any generation check one of these shows out and prepare to be amazed. X are better then ever onstage and if you have a
favorite album or simply want to hear "I See Red" live from More Fun In The New World as was my dream, now is the time. I have seen X live almost 30 times and
have screamed for this song at most shows. I'd get the usual "um, we don't know that one" response, and that would be that.

But every X dog has it's day, and mine has come on July 13. Hope to see you there.
