It absolutely did. Nice reasoning behind your statement though. This is totally relevant seeing how they've had such a popular relationship together for almost 30 years. As much as we all hate Slayer now days, they're still one of the biggest heavy metal bands EVER and Rubin played an intricate role in their sound.

All this information was already announced in the press release that I linked in like the 2nd comment of the article about Implode.

I don't have high hopes for their next album. It always seemed to me like Jeff Hanneman was the better songwriter. It does seem to be confirmed, at least, that there will be some material from him on there, though.

Not the worst loss, Hanneman was obviously the worst one. Interested to see how the new album sounds though with all the upheaval.
