Tyler the Creator, known as the leader of the Odd Future collective and as a time portal into 2011, was arrested today for allegedly starting a riot at the SXSW festival in Austin Texas.
According to the Austin Police Department, he was arrested without incident at a nearby airport and was charged with inciting a riot. His bail is set at $25,000 and if convicted, he could spend a year in jail.
According to a report from SPIN, Tyler encouraged fans outside the gates to push through, leading them in a chant of "PUSH, PUSH, PUSH". Then, hundreds of people rushed in. The venue cut the sound off, at which point the scene reportedly almost became violent. They turned the sound back on and he finished the set.
