Cornell Solo Release Delayed 2007-03-01 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 5 Comments | Bourgeois singer Chris Cornell's second solo album Carry On has been pushed back from a May 1 release to June 5.
No explanation has been given for the delay, however it may have much to do with the singer's recent departure from proletarian rock group Audioslave. Liberated of his upper classman's burden, Cornell will presumably be touring as a full-time solo artist, and the delay may have come about to account for an expanded commercial campaign.
Cornell announced the group's split last month, citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences" as the cause.
