Jacko To Submit To Allah? 2007-02-24 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 7 Comments | According to Arab-Israeli newspaper Panorama, king of pop Michael Jackson may be on the verge of converting to Islam.
Jackson has spent much of the last two years since his acquittal of child molestation charges in Bahrain in the care of the royal family, and it's been suggested that he may make the move permanent in the near future.
It was previously suggested in 2003 that Jackson had converted to the Nation of Islam's extreme interpretation of Islam, however brother Jermaine, himself a Muslim, commented in a recent interview with British newspaper Muslim News that the star has not converted to any form, however it is "most probable" that he will.
Jermaine said: "When I came back from Mecca I got him (Michael) a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it's peaceful and beautiful. He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace. I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam. He could do so much, just like I am trying to do. Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much."
Jackson hopes to release his first album in five years later this year.
