This song is better than anything off Option Paralysis, so yeah, stoked.

So the lesson I am taking from this is that DEP have finally buckled and are delivering an album to shut the people who only like Calculating Infinity. I have a strong feeling this will backfire and lose of the peeps they have gained.

This video reminds me of something Dir en grey would make, like their "Obscure" or "Different Sense" videos. Love it. Also, this is one of the best DEP songs I've heard in a looong time! Can't wait for the album to drop :-D

For anyone who have a hard time comprehending why CI isn't seen as a classic by some people, may I illustrate why?

-It is hyperaggressive, yes, but that is not always a good thing
-It takes the whole idea accessibility and fucks it to death
-For those who don't dig the full extent of their instrumentation, CI has no reprieve so it could sound like a bunch of assholes doing nothing coherent for a half hour.

CI is very coherent imo but i can completely understand why people wouldn't dig it

Have to admit this wasn't really to my liking. Haven't been impressed with any of the pre-release songs so far. Hopefully the rest of the album is better.

The video was gross but pretty cool in a grim way and the song is fucking awesome. I love Prancer as well and the teaser video sounded great so I've got some high hopes for this album. Option Paralysis will be hard to top but I think this will be pretty excellent.

Its funny how a lot of people think this album is going to be just spastic, rehashed calculating infinity ideas. They all said the same thing about option paralysis because of the singles and that album is easily their best/ most diverse work.

Awful video paired with a mediocre track. This label is not good for them. They're not Pig Destroyer, they're not grind with some attitude like, "we have to do something shocking or no one will notice our music" attitude. The production is even subpar. I wasn't fond of Option Paralysis but at least the music there mattered... This is just trying to make it heavier and crazier than Calculating Infinity, which is too far in the past.

yeah, they kinda dropped the grind when Greg joined the band. still got the spazziness but not much of the grind, though it does still poke through every now and then, but nothing like on Calc.

why do you guys think them being on sumerian is changing anything? they are still under party smasher...they recorded this album before they signed also. i mean its normal for bands to have 2 or sometimes 3 different contracts with other labels.
