Prom Queen Singer Quits

2007-02-09 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 5 Comments
According to a message posted on the group's myspace earlier this week, British singer Edward Butcher has left Australian metalcore group I Killed The Prom Queen.

The statement reads as follows:

"As some of you may have already heard Ed Butcher, our current vocalist has decided to leave the band. His decision was entirely of his own accord and came as a bit of a shock to us however we must respect his decision to return home to the UK.

"We would like to thank him for his valued time with iktpq. The last 12 months with Ed have been some of the best times we've had and he will be missed both as a friend and an outstanding vocalist.

We also wish him all the best for his future projects.

"For anyone who is concerned about the band's future, don't worry, we will announce a new vocalist soon and we will continue to play all the tours we have booked this year.

"We will soon announce our next Australian tour for when we return from our UK/Europe and USA tours around May/June.

"Ed has the following to say:

"For the fans of I Killed The Prom Queen.

"I have decided after a year of playing in the band that its time for me to leave. my reasons for this are personal but i would like to thank everyone who has supported the band since ive been a part of it. I am greatfull for your support and kind words throughout the year. Hopefully your support will continue ! Thanks again. Edward Butcher x "
