New Rob Zombie record

2013-01-31 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 26 Comments
Rob Zombie announced the release of his 5th studio record, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, scheduled to be out on April 23. The album will be the first released on Zombie's own imprint Zodiac Swan.

Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor will be the first record to feature drummer Ginger Fish (ex-Marilyn Manson), along with long-time collaborators, guitarist John 5 and bassist Piggy D. Rob Zombie revealed some of the album titles, including first single “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town,” along with such tracks as “Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga,” “Lucifer Rising,” “Behold! The Pretty Filthy Creatures” and a heavy-duty cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s “We’re an American Band.”

Also, regarding the album, Zombie commented: “I think for the first time this new album perfectly merges the old days of White Zombie with the future of what I am doing now. I think fans of both will agree that this is the perfect combo of both worlds”.

I'm sick of Rob Zombie. I'm pretty sure none of his albums are really worthwhile except maybe one, yet he headlines just about every festival ever.

“Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga,”
Well, at least he has recognized that's all he can vocally do nowadays and is staying in his comfort zone.

I'll give the singles a shot when they come out, but I'm not betting on them being good.

I like White Zombie, and Hellbilly Deluxe has a couple nostalgia trips for me but yea he needs to stop making music.

I enjoy his records, still it's mostly John 5 who does the job best. However, 5's solo records are more rewarding music-wise.

The reason why Rob headlines so many festivals is because he puts on a killer live show. I don't listen to his music often, but I would not hesitate to see him in concert again.

The silly track titles and the participation of John 5 make me want to check this out. Will likely be horrible though.
