Every time a favorite band of mine is about to release a new album an their last album sucked or wasn't up to their usual high standards, I get very very nervous! I really hope this will be as great as their other works apart form WATV.

I'm not sure if I still like Dark Tranquillity nowadays. I stopped listening to DT when We are the void released at 2010. The melodic death metal is just for fun, to be honest. But when I've got kinda bored with We are the void, I listened to non-metal bands such as Soul whirling somewhere, Red house painters, The Cure (Disintegration), Nick Drake, Black tape for a blue girl and so on...
to cheer me up or feel something different than fast-paced and aggresive metal music.

I'm still fine with Dark Tranquillity, but I'm not really fan of that band, anymore. Sorry.

I think Damage Done, Character, Fiction, and We Are the Void are all solid albums. I don't understand how people say that WATV sucked. To me it sounded on par with the past three albums they put out. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Damn, that many shows just for We Are The Void? That's the first DT album I didn't pick up because I just couldn't get into it. I hope this new one is better than that.

Only Dark Tranquillity I own is their latest one, gotta fix that soon, because while it is good, it is far from their best

Band have reached a point where there's no use in hoping that they could release anything "experimental" or super fresh anymore. Furthermore, I imagine that if they would actually try to (radically) change themselves, the end result would be awkward. Saying that, if they release a Fiction part 2, I'll be content.

WATV and the Zero Distance are pretty good, they're just not that flashy compared to their other releases.

well with DT their last album just brough too much keyboard and not enough riffs but its still a 3 rather than most in flames are now a 2-1.5
