| |
about to listen to the flac file
| |
Dope.
| |
faith
| |
Oh they played this live when I saw them.
| |
they played this at pitchfork
| |
"ur review of it was so fucking GAY"
I didn't review it. That was the point.
| |
the ending is absolutely awesome
| |
the drone in the middle is pretty boring tbh, they should have shortened that
| |
holy fucking shit
| |
ok now one of them is making an alarm sound with their guitar and its awesome
| |
The drone is way too long but overall a pretty good listen.
| |
the final 8-10 mins are phenomenal
| |
Listened to it last night and I think i fell asleep for the last 10 minutes but I woke up right when it ended as if I wasn't really asleep. It was weird..
| |
inb4 hype
| |
Waltzing with no expectations... or I'll try to.
| |
so a week ago thy released an album AND NOW THEY RELEASE A SONG
| |
Those drums felt so massive live.
| |
I'm so funny
| |
isn't this track like, longer than 'Allelujah?
| |
so a week ago thy released an album AND NOW THEY RELEASE A SONG they haven't released a new song
| |
isn't this track like, longer than 'Allelujah?
Lmao, it is
| |
oh boy
| |
6/5
song of the century
redefining what music is
| |
Yep.
| |
"inb4 hype"
what did i do?
| |
This will take some time
| |
damn man, these guys just have a bunch of material. it seems that way until you realize each musical idea they use is stretched out for like 10 minutes. their material develops even slower than other post-rock.
| |
also why is a bootleg of a song being played live considered a news event
also couldn't this be two new songs, separated by a drone? also where the fuck do people come up with names for these songs when god's pee never speak during concerts?
| |
They usually have setlists lying around on the stage that you can look at after they're done playing.
| |
good point, i withdraw that last question.
| |
I SAW THIS LAST NIGHT IN LOUISVILLE. Incredible set
| |
oh
| |
ah so this is what that was live
I saw them thursday and it was so hard to tell when a new "song" began and ended. I guess it was when they went silent. I thought this was like 3 songs.
but they were amazing yeah
| |
no allelujah is 53 minutes this is 44 unless I'm mistaken
obviously this will rule, i cant wait to hear it. I hope this means that they are fully reunited now and will continue to tour and release new music. Happy days.
happy happy happy happy days
| |
dat drum tone
| |
aids they were probably discounting the drones
| |
happy happy happy
| |
I heard Aaron Turner worked at Discount Drones for a while.
| |
Might listen some day
| |
Are they still playing sleep live?
| |
Compared to most guys here I love the drones and I don't think the song drags at all. Sure, the studio version might not clock in on a hefty 45 minutes but it wouldn't bother me if it did.
| |
They should just release this as an album.
| |
Yeah this ruled live
| |
"The track is called "Behemoth," it is 44 minutes long"
lol aptly titled
| |
This is pretty hilarious. Gonna listen to this later.
| |
I heard this last night. It's fucking ridiculous.
| |
"Are they still playing sleep live?"
Yep. Played it last night.
| |
Considering 16 minutes seems short to me nowadays, this should be pretty awesome.
Will listen when I have enough time.
| |
so a week ago thy released an album AND NOW THEY RELEASE A SONG
they haven't released a new song
They probably played Behemoth live some months ago but this is the first live bootleg that contains the song. Technically - it is brand new unless you have seen GY!BE live. +The bootleg is from 4 or 5 days ago
| |
Album will be 5 hours and consist of 4 songs.
| |
why are people so concerned with track/album lengths? it's a long song....so? listen to some Crimson or Dopesmoker or something.
| |
or The Well-Tuned Piano by La Monte Young (5 songs/pieces/movements, each an hour long)
| |
yeah idk why it matters, just think of it as two twenty minute songs if it bothers you that much
| |
they should have done it like crimson 2 and made it into 50 parts
| |
guys this means that my last.fm will only scrobble once an hour and that simply will not do. I have an image to maintain!
| |
lol i didnt know what this was when i saw it live on the 3rd. damn it was a good show. those mid range frequencies, man.
| |
Song sounds damn good
| |
The drones in the middle are pretty cool but seriously like ten minutes too long. There's a pretty sweet guitar lead at the end but then it gets super repetitive again, at least at the show I went to it did.
also this is like half of the fucking setlist
| |
Well this one was boring. I get drone but after the last album I really don't need much more. I hope they go back to F A or Skinny Fist sound. This is not the GY!BE I have come to love. Change is good and even necessary; a fourty+ minute drone that prods to nowhere is unacceptable. I will not buy the next album if they have this as the centerpiece
| |
Honestly
I'd rather have new Behemoth
| |
the truest of faiths, captain
| |
the song is way too long
it drags
| |
only the drone in the middle. the rest of it is awesome
| |
You're right
but the drone segment bothers me
they should have just left it out
| |
it would have been great if the drone was just shorter
| |
pff
I just want to skip the drone part
| |
Whenever this is actually released, I'm sure it will probably be at least 10 minutes shorter.
| |
You uncultured sacks of shit the drone is awesome and i wouldnt really call it a drone anyway
| |
The drone portion was basically the set break and those drums were indeed massive.
| |
At the show I was at the drone was way less sparse than this, there were tons of crazy buildings-collapsing noises going on. It still got really boring though lol. Maybe they improv that part?
| |
I haven't listened to this recording of the track but I saw it performed live, and the drone part works a lot better in a live setting. When I saw it I actually thought it was two separate tracks, though.
Also, an unofficial bootleg of one live performance out of many being news seems odd.
| |
Bored the shit out of me, jezz
| |
Kind of hoping that the middle section is trimmed down a bit in the final studio version, or at least changed a bit to where it's more eventful. It's starts out neat but really has around ten minutes of fat. But like I said, it kind of has a better effect live.
| |
needs to be shortened big time.
| |
heard this live and the ending gave me chills
| |
yea
| |
it doesn't sound as good on this
| |
yea
| |
is maniac gay
| |
yea
| |
heh
| |
Fucking drones.......... post rock would be so perfect imo without them.
| |
objectively wrong
| |
Durt McGurt
| |
Behemoth is still being played slightly differently every show, and gets better every time.
Edit: Dang, didn't know this would bring out on the first page.. I'll take the blame for the false
hopes I guess
| |
I saw this on the front page and thought it was a new new song fuck you
| |
yea
| |
fucking die
| |
Not only did he bump this like an asshole, but his comment is one of the most retarded things I've ever read
| |
HA i didn't fall for this one
not this time
| |
