when I heard there would be AC DC influence I cringed hard, and it was a bit dissapointing (the
drumming was meh too)
still I'm glad that they haven't lost their edge, the guitar tone is pretty sick

the music featured in the trailer was much sicker
|
| |
^Agreed. This is an ok track, but based on Soundgarden's past material, their singles have always been the weakest songs from their albums.
|
| |
Finally it's here!! This is great
|
| |
Seems more like something I would appreciate in the context of an awesome album.
|
| |
yeah, great song. FCY summed it up pretty well though ^^
|
| |
Sounds way too much like every other metal band on the radio today, not really digging it.
|
| |
This rocks hard, gotta say I'm surprised. It's like they looked to recent Foo Fighters and past Soundgarden for this song
|
| |

maybe first singles but idk dude Fell on Black Days, Room a Thousand Years Wide and Blow Up the Outside World might be 3 of my top 5 Soundgarden songs
|
| |
has the sound of Down on the Upside, but a bit ballsier. i like it, although i'm hoping it's not one
of the big highlights from the record
still, if i have to choose, i'm buying the new Deftones album, not this, on the day they come out
|
| |
Sounds awesome. It reminds me of their short and fast songs from Superunknown and Down On The Upside, like Kickstand or Never Named.
|
| |
@Inveigh: Well for me, songs like 4th of July, Slaves, Tighter & Tighter were the bigger highlights of their albums. All their singles are solid, but their most creative and "holy-shit" ones are not singles.
|
| |
Opening riff lasted too long. Still chill.
|
| |
Love Soundgarden. Hate the song.
|
| |
Dudes I like it, it has like a down on the upside mixed with badmotorfinger feel. Also I can definitely see the ACDC influence. Waaaaay better than live to rise.
|
| |
dece song methinks
|
| |
It's alright. Nice that it's "harder" or whatever, that song from the soundtrack was a better song, tbh.
|
| |
That bridge part sounds like it's ripped straight from '94 Superunknown-era.
|
| |
better than everything chris cornell has put out since "down on the upside". ye audioslave sucked hard compared to this!
|
| |

this

those were the worst, though still better than this
"better than everything chris cornell has put out since "down on the upside". ye audioslave sucked hard compared to this!"
I don't get the hate for Audioslave, they don't have a single bad song and I like most of them better than this
|
| |

Their final album wasn't as good as their first two but they were a pretty good band for the small amount of time they were around.
|
| |
What an appropriate title. I enjoyed it.

"Their final album wasn't as good as their first two but they were a pretty good band for the small amount of time they were around."
If actually put Revelations above Out Of Exile. There's a fantastic vibe on that album and extra spice that wasn't on Out of Exile. I'm a fan of all their stuff though.
|
| |
I'd*
|
| |
Holy fucking shit that was bad. I love Soundgarden but holy shit
|
| |
Sounds like it's on par with some of Down on the Upsides weaker tracks. I don't like the ACDC influence but overall nothing special here. Sounds a lot like something off Audioslave's Revelations. Sounddgarden should be darker and more creative than that.
|
| |
Bridge is awesome, rest is eh.
|
| |
Decent
|
| |
Doesn't wow me like the trailer music did.
|
| |
"Doesn't wow me like the trailer music did."
agreed, I honestly think Cornell should focus on lower octaves, because he just can't hit those higher notes anymore. Still an incredibly talented singer as that "Live To Rise" song shows us his lower octave voice is still stunning. Instrumentally, the track is pretty good. Looking forward to the whole album though.
|
| |
Definitely sounds like they are at least going in the right direction. Can't wait to hear the album all together.
