I like the songs where Chris sings lead, other than that, meh. The 2nd Law songs were more of a gimmick I think, they don't serve much purpose on the album.

I have a theory that Muse is trying to see how terrible of music they can release that douchebag fans will still defend as awesome.

just listened to the whole thing and it isn't utter shit as they make it out to be, it does have some solid cuts, but I must agree it is not nearly as good as everything they put out before the resistance

yeah i probably won't bother. the singles were awful enough to deter me from a casual listen of this. i might end up hearing it cause my stoner friends are obsessed with Muse so we'll see, I may end up having an (imaginably predictable) opinion.

I personally liked 'Supremacy' and am warming to 'Madness' but I cannot for the life of me stand 'Survival'.

Album isn't as terrible as everyone(including me) made it out be, but it's definitely just as mediocre as The Resistance.

Skipped around through it, doesn't sound that bad. I'll have to give the full thing a listen.

Itll translate live better than resistance, but obviously nowhere near anything pre-blackholes era.

I have pretty low expectations for this thing, but I gotta say, the opening track is better or equal to anything on Resistance. Maybe this thing has some hope?

wtf this is actually good! the single was horrible.

Maybe it's just because my expectations were so low, but I'm actually digging this album.

I actually have never listened to anything by Muse, except for Uprising, which I personally think is a great song. It just seems to me like Muse's version of A Thousand Suns. I actually liked ATS, so I'll probably like this. I'm not going to listen to it now though; I want to check out their old stuff first.
