Paul Gray's Doctor Charged

2012-09-06 by DaveyBoy EMERITUS | 61 Comments
The doctor of late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Des Moines - Iowa physician Dr. Daniel Baldi has today had 8 counts of the charge levelled at him, with Gray being one of many patients which the doctor allegedly prescribed high amounts of pain-killers to.

Baldi, 50, could face up to 16 years in jail if found guilty of the charges. A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of Baldi, who was subsequently released on bail.

the bassist of a popular metal band being involuntarily murdered sounds like news about music to me, the same as posting an article about any dead musician

Pauly Gray kills himself with OD of drugs....and people blame the doctor for making them available? Make everything available for all I care - it's the person's fault how they use them. He was already a known abuser. He'd have gotten them and OD'd one way or another.

"The doctors recommend a dosage. You trust doctors to give you the right information. If the doctor gives you the wrong dosage and you take it and overdose, it's entirely the doctor's fault."

...the key word(s) is "high amounts" of painkillers, which is probably referring to the unnecessary quantity of pills the doctor prescribed to him. Paul probably paid him to write more, and then Paul OD'd by taking too many at once. If this logical guess is the case, then both are at fault.
