New Basement Song

2012-09-04 by loveisamixtape | 20 Comments
A new track entitled "Spoiled" by British band Basement has been posted on BBC.co.uk. The song is taken
from their upcoming full length, Colourmeinkindness, which is set to release this fall.

Earlier this year, Basement announced an indefinite hiatus, claiming that Colourmeinkindness would be
the last thing they release "for a very long time." "Spoiled" along with "Whole," a live song released on the
most recent Run For Cover Records compilation cd, hints at a darker and grungier sound for Basement, a side
only found on the quieter tracks of I Wish I Could Stay Here. "Spoiled" can be heard here

Didn't want to skip through the whole show to find it, so I just listened to the snippet. Sounded fucking awesome though, I actually love this band and am pretty damn stoked for a another album.

I really really like it as well as the live song. I think their new album will be a 4-4.5

Honestly sounded like a Nickleback song to me.

Song starts at about 20:19 into the broadcast for those who want to hear the whole song and not just the snippet.

Getting tons of Silverchair vibes off this, which is great because I love Silverchair. I absolutely adored this band's first album, and this new direction their music seems to be taking sounds like it could be even better. Love me some grunge influence.

This song is so bass heavy, no pun intended. I'm still really digging this, I hope this album is as good as their last!
