This sucked as did the other song. Not expecting much from this album
| |
I on the other hand liked this song but I'm betting there will be a lot more "weirder" ones on the record
| |
they've been on a pretty good streak, I think they're allowed to miss.
| |
yea i'm not diggin it as much either. "more upbeat and rocking" that's not really their signature sound. not that I need 'em to be all emo gay, but it is what it is and I prefer that they keep it close to their darker undertones
| |
^ Exactly
| |
It's okay
| |
not bad at all. pretty good but it didn't stand out too much
| |
It's good. I want another blue sky noise!
| |
sounds good

pretty good but it didn't stand out too much [2]

wtf everyone loved this song when it was posted a month ago
| |
This isn't really new to me, I saw a video of an acoustic version they did at a radio station. I probably like that version more than this but it's still a great song either way. I just hope they'll add acoustic versions of a few songs including this one on the deluxe version like they did with BSN.
| |
I'll take more psychedelic and less emo any day.
| |
Yeeaa, that was pretty awesome.
| |
I'll take more emo and less psychedelic any day.
| |
Pretty good
| |
Wow that was awesome.
| |
good stuff

-Agree. I like Circa survive the most when theyre standing in the border of mellow and aggressive and their guitars are drenched in trippy effects. But that's just me.
| |
don't get the negative feedback for this that much, this is pretty awesome
granted i didn't really like BSN and it seems everyone but me did
| |
Holy fuck this rules.
| |
Song is pretty good. Fairly confident the album will be enjoyable.
| |
that was pretty awesome.
| |
'I'm betting there will be a lot more "weirder" ones on the record'
same, I'm hoping this is on the 'rockier' side of the spectrum for the album.
also it's cool that they decided to self produce the album, but it's pretty apparent at times...and not in a good way. the mix sounds too clinical to me, and not very creative.
| |
The more I listen to it, the more I'm liking it. It's certainly a grower. I'm sure the album will be good.
| |
What the fuck is with the negative comments? This is great!
| |
i just want a juturna pt. 2 is that too much to ask
| |
band is overrated
| |
Because its not good (to most of us). But I liked BSN and most of their other stuff is just ok to me. So not surprised
| |
I enjoyed it, I liked their stuff prior to BSN more than BSN so I'm interested to see how this album will turn out. The intro reminded me of Dance Gavin Dance for some reason.
| |
gave it another listen. still same for me. not growing. but i never said it was terrible. just not what I want from Green's voice. He doesn't have the most endearing voice as it is already, so I'm not buying into this upbeat/poppy sound. I thought BSN was a solid step forward within the scope of their overall sound and I actually enjoyed the slower/moodier stuff from the earlier albums. For me "Through the Desert Alone" and "I Felt Free" was as "upbeat" as I would like them
| |
this is so... upbeat. wtf?
| |
I quite liked that.
| |
bit of alright
| |

don't see what you're talking about at all lol
| |
song rules. its not that upbeat.. there are songs on BSN that sound exactly like this.
| |
"I was gonna take some sleeping pills before bed, but this works too."
Lol
| |
awesome song, album will rule
| |
I can definitely understand someone not liking this song, but I think it's great. I was worried that
they'd continue in the direction of Blue Sky Noise with something even more poppy, so it's nice to
hear something "darker", if that's the word I'm looking for.
I also really enjoyed Suitcase, so I'm excited to get to hear the entire album.

The 30 second clips. I'll say I'm pretty excited. "Sharp Practice" seems like the "Get Out" of the album.
| |
Two 7 minute songs?? Cool
| |
Some song clips sound sweet. And this song has grown on me a little. Also, the recorded version of Suitcase sounds a lot better than that radio version I heard. So maybe the album will be ok
| |
It's okay.
| |
I thought is was alright. It sounds like a Circa Survive song.

"wtf everyone loved this song when it was posted a month ago"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I like it. Album will obviously be worse than BSN but better than Juturna and the second one which title I forgot.
| |
Honestly, Anthony Green could shit into a microphone and I'd still enjoy it.
| |
"don't see what you're talking about at all lol"
the instruments just sounded too separate from one another, especially the vocals.
.....maybe I'm just listening too critically. It's definitely a grower though.
| |
For my part, I really enjoy this a lot more than I enjoyed Blue Sky Noise. This is coming from an enormous fan of Juturna, so I am happy that they decided to go back to putting a lot of reverb and delay in the guitars. I am really excited to head the whole album.
| |
It's not a bad song, but it's not Circa. They've completely abandoned all the elements that gave them such a unique sound on Juturna and On Letting Go. I liked Blue Sky Noise, but didn't love it. I heard a couple off Violent Waves when they had them in the rotation on tour and they sounded very promising but between this song and between super boring Suitcase, I'm probably going to be severely disappointed with this record.
| |
Heard the samples. Must say, I think this album is going to rule.
| |
Not too bad at all
| |
The second half of the album has an old-time Circa feel...of course I'm drawing that opinion only from those snippets.
| |
"I like it. Album will obviously be worse than BSN but better than Juturna and the second one which title I forgot."
This is what I expect
| |
"the instruments just sounded too separate from one another, especially the vocals."
That's called "fidelity" and "soundstage." They are positive qualities in audio production.
I've always liked Anthony-era Saosin more than Circa Survive, but this sounds like it has a bit more bite to it than anything off of BSN (aside form maybe "Get Out"). A lot of BSN was just...bland.
| |
This or Coheed's new one will probably be my album of the year.
| |
Album leaked.
