Flea Releases Solo EP

2012-07-21 by PuddlesPuddles | 26 Comments
Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has released a name-your-price experimental solo EP. All the proceeds will be going to the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a community based non profit music school.

The EP is notably inspired by the novel Jane Eyre and features a vocal cameo from Patti Smith.

The jungle man disclaims, "Warning! This is not a Red Hot Chili Peppers record... This is just me tripping out at home."

Available at http://silverlakeconservatory.com/helen_burns/ for digital download.

Seems interesting. I can't tell if that's the album art or just a picture of the thing he's donating to. Either way, it looks beautiful.

Flea tripping out with Patti Smith while trying to musically interpret Jane Eyre. Yeah, how the fuck can you read that and NOT at least check this out? Haha.

Jane Eyre is terrible. I can't see how anything good could come out of this.
