call me crazy but i like this a whole lot more than Deceiver. that album blows. seems like they'll never top Empire, or more accurate.. they'll never top Quit While You're Ahead

I'm disappointed but I probably shouldn't have expected too much.

Boring as fuck, screams are better but the cleans are baaaaadddddd.

I've only heard three songs so far cause I have no desire to listen to the rest. Those three songs were full of chugs, bad clean
and worst of all terrible synths. Holy fuck are the synths lame.

They have potential but like being that band that could be better than the other scene bands but decides to blend in

They have this song called Smoke Monster on the deluxe edition only; it's technical as fuck and is pretty damn awesome. Why they decided to not include it on the normal edition is beyond me.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hounds of Anubis, but then they make the mistake adding the rest of the album.

And shit, I wish Luke Holland would have done the drumming. That would've probably made the album like 10x better

BurnedBlack you are totally right, Smoke Monster shits all over every other song on the album. They should've went that direction. Why it's not on the album makes no sense to me.

Just listening to songs like The Hounds of Anubis and The Conscience shows that this band has SO much potential, but they constantly disappoint by resorting to chugging and useless breakdowns. Really, how difficult is to to write a song with decent riffing instead of fucking obnoxious breakdowns?

This is a good album but a little weak in some parts..There first album is way better.
