Last album sucked, this doesn't have Roy so this is going to suck. Judge, jury and executioner.

It's pretty sad when bands constantly live in the shadow of their former selves when a key member leaves. As is the case here.

Roy Khan was Kamelot. They should've just formed a new band.

Guys what are you talking about?

Kamelot existed before Roy Khan and they will continue to exist without him.

As much as it hurts to say this about the band that probably made the best power metal album to date with The Black Halo, they should just form a new band.

Perhaps the band existed before Roy Khan joined, but hey guess what, the band sucked during that time.

But I'd really like to wait and see how they've recruited for vocal duties before making and rash statements about the new record. I don't have high hopes for it, but a decent vocalist might make it ok. If Dragonforce could come out with a decent record after a vocalist change, Kamelot should be able to, too.

While I can't be confident that they will make better albums than their last (regardless of vocalist), even if they do manage to improve it will still suck. I will eat my shorts if Kamelot ever makes an album that is a return to form.

As a side note, how the hell does that heap of trash Poetry For The Poisoned have almost the same rating as Ghost Opera? That is absurd.

If they don't want to kill the legacy of kamelot they should end with this project now, things will get worse

I only liked a few tracks from Poetry For The Poisoned, and without Khan it's hard to get my hopes up for this.

Kamelot ruled up until the last album. Without Khan they probably won't be nearly as good I'm sure; still definitely checking this out though

Epica and Black Halo were two of the best power metal albums possible. But Khan really did make them.
