fucking love this, cannot wait for this album
| |
yea this gave me hope in the new album kinda
| |
Sounds more like something off of Silent Earth and not Black Rainbow, and that is cause for rejoice
| |
It's just an acoustic demo, but goddamn, that sounded awesome.
| |
yea but it all depends on how the studio version sounds
so
until i hear that, i'm still somewhat skeptical
| |
I'm not too worried. It's Coheed and Cambria. Black Rainbow wasn't their best but it was far from being bad that's for sure.
Song's great, and it's gonna be even better when we can hear the full version. Can't wait!
| |
fucking rules wow... honestly surprised
| |
Ok, that was fucking awesome. Man, I love his vocals.
| |
very tool-esque, except for the chorus though
| |
yeah it was cool
| |
Song will be good with some Eppard drums and if the production style is more SSTB than YOTBR.
| |
surprised at how good that was
| |
has there been any word on who is filling in on bass, studio or touring/permanently otherwise?
| |
wow, coheed I actually like
| |
that was awesome. Will sound amazing with full band.
| |
He should just do a solo acoustic album... I'd buy it.
| |
Oh, Jesus, that was amazing.
| |
Sounds awesome. Can't wait for the album.
| |
I've honest;y never listened to much of this band. This really inspires me to do so.
| |
Well that was awesome.
| |
wow, coheed I actually like [2]

5 classic
Atreyu A Death-Grip On Yesterday
Beheading Of A King Quasar: Preserving Legacy
Mathieu Paquette was an amazing vocalist. Completely underrated, and lost while he was in his prime. This is evident on this EP. Tracks such as 'Leader of the Suburbs' and 'Quasar' truly encase not only Mathieu's talent, but the entire band as a unit. We're all proud of you Mathieu. Rest In Peace, my friend.

| |
Holy shit I'm so excited for their new album.
| |
this is great but yeah like kris said full band could be completely different
| |
Not sure where all the hate for Black Rainbow comes from, I thought it ruled. But whatev. This album will destroy continents in the best way possible.
| |
prolly cuz it sucked dick compared to their first 3 albums
| |
SSTB > Keeping Secrets > YOTBR > GA1 > GA2. But they all rock.
| |
that looks good to me too
| |
Anyway you can download this song at their website. http://www.coheedandcambria.com/ You gots ta sing up to their mailing list though.
| |
trippple chain gang
| |
lol how does anybody use the term "fucking slays" for an acousting demo of a coheed and cambria song
| |
^^ Don't question it. Shit just fucking slays.
| |
Melody sorta reminded me of stuff from Prizefighter and while I doubt this is gonna be another PF, I don't mind it

Can't believe someone can get away with these ratings, while mine were deleted a few months ago.
| |
yeah mine were deleted too wtf... like 95% of 'em were legit. I'll admit to a few blatant hates
| |
From what the mods said before in threads about this is - if you 1 a band's entire discog it's pretty much grounds for ratings deletion since you're not being honest. i.e. if you really hate a band, why would you go and listen to everything else they've done in order to be able to 1 them? It's very unlikely that you actually did.
| |
^That's why it's much safer to rate everything by this band a 1.5. Haha.
Amazing tune! Stoked for the new album.
| |
Coheed went solo? He's nothing without Cambria though so I won't bother with this
| |
-.-
| |
This was great. I really can't wait for their next album to drop, especially with Josh behind the kit.
| |
Really promising. Liked this more than the new Mars Volta.
| |
new tmv was refreshing
| |
Yeah, I liked it. But was hoping for more.
| |
nice dig
| |
I know man. I like yours too.
| |
sweet. song sounds great.
| |
Well let's hope they have more than one great song on their new album. They are always on the verge to release something absolutely fantastic again and then all of their albums somehow end up with too many fillers.
| |
"yeah mine were deleted too wtf... like 95% of 'em were legit. I'll admit to a few blatant hates"
Same here. I was pissed.
| |
I liked new tmv more than this. But I thought new tmv was fanfuckingtastic
| |
This bloke (and his band) can really pull off an acoustic set - saw them on their Neverender SSTB 10 year anniversary tour, and in hindsight I think the acoustic set almost totally owned the front-to-back playing of SSTB itself.
| |
Absolutely amazing! And they are touring with Maiden over the summer. I really hope I can catch them on that tour. New album will slay
| |
E.P.I.C.
| |
Okay so I made that comment before I actually heard the song. It (the song) is very, VERY meh.
| |
it's been 7 years since these guys have put out something worthwhile
fuck
| |
"Okay so I made that comment before I actually heard the song. It (the song) is very, VERY meh. "
You think so? I thought it sounded great. Plus it was only the first time he's played it completely through, so when the rest of the band gets a hold of it and they record all of the other parts it should sound absolutely sick.
| |
thought it ruled
| |
not sure why everybody's freaking out about an acoustic demo...
still sounds fine though. i won't judge before it actually has a full band behind it.
| |
-.- [2]
| |
This sounds great, but I'll have to reserve judgement until studio snippets come out. I remember how
fantastic the first (acoustic) rendition of Mother Superior was, and how I was underwhelmed with the
studio version. Acoustic Coheed is consistently awesome, though.
| |
Coheed always excels at what they do... that just happens to be making some of the most breathtaking music around.
I am truly impressed and cannot wait to hear more. This is coming from a long-time coheed fan. My uncle is a huge coheed and cambria fan and actually introduced me to the band so i'll have to show him this when I get the chance and get his take on it.
| |
yeah i definitely enjoyed the new TMV track more than this but this was still cool regardless.
| |
cool beans, looking forward to new album.
| |
I don't always like C&C songs like most people but one thing is indisputable... dude is super talented. like, super duper.
| |
true. claudio is a beast. i was blown away when i saw them live. and i couldnt help but admire his chops in that vid.
| |
Not sure how I didn't hear about this until now. I liked the song, but it doesn't really stand out as being anything exceptional. YOTBR had a lot of great songs on it, but just didn't have anything to make it more than just really good.
Coheed used to be good at writing epic tracks, this just felt like a standard rock song that could've easily been on YOTBR. I get that it's just an acoustic version with claud but he played Mother Superior off of NWFT acoustic live before anything else was released and the shitty live recording that circulated from that was absolutely fantastic. Then even NWFT was disappointing, so this being released as some sort of hype track doesn't give me high hopes at all.
| |
Epic demo. damn. Can't wait for thisssss
| |
These guys are on a vertical trajectory headed downwards. Seriously. Haven't released anything truly worthwhile since GAIV, then lost two members almost at once, and have started to become quite deflating live.
RIP?
| |
nope, this will be awesome
you are wrong
| |
Yeah, I'd like to think they'll pull through, and pump out some sweet material for this album. I have a feeling it'll be the best since GA1.
| |
what goes up must come down?
| |
they came down with YotBR, this will be the second coming... of Claudio
| |
he will cum at some point, i'm sure
| |
do u guys remember this song like holy shit
| |
great song yea
| |
:chillz:
