Lukas Rossi Plans 2nd Album

2006-11-26 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments
Rock Star Supernova frontman Lukas Rossi has quashed rumours that the star-studded supergroup is simply a one-off deal.

"I already have material for the next record," Rossi told Jane Stevenson of the Toronto Sun. "When we get on the road, it's going to be me and Tommy on one bus, and there's a studio in the back of Tommy's bus, so we're just going to write for the next record."

Responding to the news that the revived INXS have lost their U.S. deal following a promising start last year, Rossi said: "We're not INXS, we're Supernova, which means I don't think the guys would have dedicated so much of their time if they just wanted a quick buck. I mean, I don't think any of the guys in my band really need any money."

Despite losing bassist Jason Newsted last month to a serious shoulder injury, the group are bonding well. Rossi describes [drummer Tommy] Lee as "like my big brother," while of replacement bassist Johnny Colt he comments, "[h]e rocks a Mohawk better than I do, man. He looks rad."

Rock Star Supernova's debut self-titled album was released earlier this week.

i like the show when it lasted, but the band sucks, considering who's in it. Newsted should go back to Metal, and Tommy Lee can go back to being in a band that dress up as women

hmm, i enjoyed the show but looks like the band is not very good looking from what the reviews say.

from the show there were some few catchy tunes tho. be yourself and 5 other cliches was a good song. not good as in super complex metal good but good as in enjoyable and sing-along.

Despite all the bad reviews, I guess I could still check this one out.

HA! He means his "for hire" songwriters have new material for his next album. What a joke.
