Yeah, so there's pretty much no way this wouldn't rule, right?
| |
This seems pretty cool
| |
lulu part 2
| |
sure why not.
| |
Weird but awesome! Can't wait!
| |
wtf?
| |
sweeet
| |
In Mastodon we trust...that's all I thought when I read and posted this. Mastodon won't let it be bad.
| |
Oh, they're just covering each others' old songs? That's disappointing. I guess not all artists have the same creative energy flowing through them as Metallica and Lou Reed do.
| |
This sounds awesome. Can't wait.
| |
wooow
| |
Whoat?
| |
tha fuck?
| |
Feistodon
| |
@Scoot It's like Lulu except neither is decades past their prime and bat shit crazy, so it probably
won't suck. We already saw Mastodon's nadir in the Jonah Hex EP, which wasn't terrible despite being
their first soundtrack, scrapped and re-recorded in its entirety, and done for free.
I'm interested in this more from morbid curiosity than anything though.
| |
Actually pretty interested in hearing this. I'm sure Feist will pick one of the three mellow songs off The Hunter to cover. But it's certainly not a bad thing, since those are the highlight of the album anyway.
| |
This will be good. Mastodon wouldn't risk putting a bad release out after The Hunter.
...Right..?
| |
I gained a huge amount of respect for her when she said that "The Hunter" was an amazing album. Sounds like my kinda babe.
| |
ya know, this could be cool
| |
it's unanimous: this news is cool
| |
The Wolf is Loose? With Feist on vocals? Please? For the lulz?
| |
Raditude
| |
interesting....
| |
Mastofeist.
Can't wait for this. At the very least it'll be an amusing split.
| |
Cause collaborations have gone so well lately...
| |
This would put Mastodon over the edge of hipsterdom.
| |
Scoot stole the words straight from my brain
lulu part 2 [2]
| |
lulu part 2
every bizarre collab should not elicit comparisons to lulu... that was two particularly dreadful musical acts making particularly dreadful music... it deserves special treatment.
this sounds cool tho
| |
i just saw mastodon last weekend, and shit, they've seriously improved their live show. prolly not playing all of crack the skye helped a lot tho i am thinking.
| |
also, this would be a fairly interesting ep. i forgot to include that
| |
just read on pitchfork that Mastodon has confirmed this and it will be released on record store day in april. they are just covering each others songs, not making songs together
| |
This is silly
| |
Lulu part 2 [3]. That's the first thing I thought of.
| |
Oh it's just covers. Somewhat disappointing.
And wasn't Lulu made primarily for the lulz? Which makes me much more forgiving of it even if Metallica has been sucking quite a lot
for the past decade.
| |
Intredasting. Heard of Feist, never listened, but this has potential.
| |
this is gonna be awesome
now I'm waiting for Joanna Newsom and BTBAM to collaborate
| |
Could be legit
| |
Well this would such if Feist played Curl of the fucking Blur
| |
Badass.
| |
That would be sweet. Kinda like the Black Unicorn split that He Is Legend did with Classic Case.
| |
feist >>> mastodon
| |
THERE'S A LIMIT
TO YOUR LOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRVE
| |
What happened with the mastodon/dillinger escape plan collab I keep hearing about?
| |
I seriously hope this doesn't turn into Lulu 2.
| |
It's actually happening now. Check Pitchfork.
| |
