Not really a huge loss. If I had a job like a surgeon plus had a kid on the way I wouldn't have time to be in a popular, signed metal band either.

lol Crysis is loving this. Let's hope Nillo has more influence now.
Btw, surgeon? Damn.
|
| |
Ville Friman was the one who wrote most of the stuff on One For Sorrow, not Ville Vanni.
|
| |
Oh shit lol. Didn't know there were 2 Ville's. Not a big loss then.

Surgeon? Wow kind of inspirational.
|

Ville is pretty much the Finnish equivalent of Michael it seems.

"Surgeon? Wow kind of inspirational."
So much for stereotypes, right?

"So much for stereotypes, right?"
If only we could be more like Ville Vänni

Gotta think that manual dexterity carries over to the guitar and vice versa pretty well.
Moar surgeons in metal plox.

Crysis first to comment.
Surprise surprise.

Hey well im subscribed to their mailing list and they sent this out this morning so I had to post...
I do not hide my fanboyism for this band
|
| |
You're hiding it... until you give in and get INSOMNIUM tattooed across your chest.
|

Friman wrote like 90% of their material so it isn't that much of a hit from a songwriting perspective. I think Vanni wrote A New Beginning, the bonus track off Across the Dark which was pretty awesome but, a bonus track. I'm sure they'll have no problem continuing as if nothing happend.

Europe is so much cooler than America. Even their surgeon generals are members of badass metal bands.
