the beginnings sound exactly the same.
|
| |
lol yeah they do
album will suck
|
| |
sad that this band decided to regress
shogun was great
|
| |
youtube leaks for shitty bands are news?
also IIIIIIIIIINNNN WAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVEESSS
|
| |
Yeah I did really like Shogun. Won't judge till I hear the whole album but the tracks released so far don't warrant more than a 2.5-3.
I am strangely drawn to the album cover though.
|
| |
Both songs are boring.
|
| |
Just about heard half the album now. Really don't know why bands do this
|
| |
Man I know Shogun wasn't even THAT good to begin with but what the hell were they smoking when they thought doing an album like this was a good idea.
Also,
Just about heard half the album now. Really don't know why bands do this[2]
|
| |
ShinXetsu your dig is awesome., Animals as Leaders is great.
On topic, I don't see why they've already posted practically half the album, it can either make or break the hype.
|
| |
"Just about heard half the album now. Really don't know why bands do this"
I agree but these are leaks aren't they?
|
| |
Yeah after I posted that I looked and saw the songs aren't on their youtube but they're all over the place on other people's. But since it was just those two songs that got leaked I'm going to assume that they were meant to be released at one point or another anyway.
|
| |
I agree but these are leaks aren't they?
Sounds like they're being played on some radio station. Idk, I wasn't paying a great deal of attention
|
| |
They're tryin to create some waves man.
|
| |
I thought they were already in them?
|
| |
Two more average Trivium songs.
|
| |
What the hell, It's like I've listened to the same song twice
|
| |
Music is always good but the vocals are getting questionable. They need more harshes and less cleans.
|
| |
The instrumental parts are quite good, and the choruses are not as "cliche" as they were on Shogun. But Heafy fails at creating some interesting singing parts :-/ He has a nice singing style, but there is absolutely no interesting melodies going on.
I Will still check the album
|
| |
Roadrunner pretty much forced them to write some radio friendly songs for this album, these two are definitely them.
|
| |
was looking forward to the Shogun sequel. Guess not anymore. Sad that they will probably never top Shogun.
|
| |
Astounding that this is the same band that wrote "Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis" and "Shogun".
Sleek album cover and marketing, horrible music. This'll probably turn out to be the finest case study of executive meddling this year.
|
| |
Exactly what I'd expect from Trivium...not impressed.
|
| |
Music is always good but the vocals are getting questionable. They need more harshes and less cleans.
They really need a new vocalist. This band I've never liked and these songs aren't helping me get into them so I'm just about giving up.
|
| |
for all the people saying stuff like "Astounding that this is the same band that wrote "Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis" and "Shogun"."
They decided to focus less on technicality and stuff and more on just writing songs that work. Not that they were ever technical, but we won't be hearing anything like "torn between scylla and charybdis" again
anyways, listening to built to fall, not too impressed. time to listen to the other one
|
| |
oh, and just in case some don't notice, black starts 45 seconds into the video, so you're missing the beginning, idk if the other one does too or not but i'm assuming so
|
| |
"They decided to focus less on technicality and stuff and more on just writing songs that work. Not that they were ever technical, but we won't be hearing anything like 'torn between scylla and charybdis' again"
It's not a lack of technicality, it's a lack of interesting songwriting. It's boring and it's dumbed-down and it's soulless.
|
| |
"soulless" gets thrown around too much whenever a band does something someone considers "safe" or more simple. You don't know if they did or did not put their souls into the music, and to claim they did not is pretentious.
I prefer Shogun, but I respect what they're trying to do.
|
| |
IIIIIIIN-uh WHAAAAAVVVESSSSuhhhh.
Generic metalcore shenanigans. They're releasing too many tracks, and it's a shame they're all boring.
|
| |
Probably won't even bother to check this out.
|
| |
I listened to like 10 seconds of this and it sounded like Avenged Sevenfold so hit the red x I did.
|
| |
Yeah, I know "soulless" was a bit much and I try to respect when bands experiment with different directions, but in this case the output shows so much less creativity and spirit that it's as if it was written by different people, or at least for a different reason.
|
| |
"Black" is kind of catchy, I like it. Even if it is extremely generic.
The other one though is borderline Heavy Metal Nickelback.
"...I DON'T WANT TO HATE YOOOOU, BUT YOU KILLED OFF EVERYTHING IN MY HEART" *vomits*
|
| |
both songs suck
|
| |
a comment
|
| |
"...I DON'T WANT TO HATE YOOOOU, BUT YOU KILLED OFF EVERYTHING IN MY HEART"
Well I guess this is what we get when we start whining about the greek mythology or the japanese influences and how "pretentious" it all is.
|
| |
"It's not a lack of technicality, it's a lack of interesting songwriting. It's boring and it's dumbed-down and it's soulless" well, the band's statement was along the lines of "on the past two we pushed ourselves to the limit musically and this time we're going to focus less on that and more on just having the songs be good" or something. In Waves and Inception were both good I thought, Dusk Dismantled is simply okay, but these 2 were boring. Still have hope that the album will be good, though.
|
| |
lol this band
sounds like a bad metallica cover
|
| |
eaaaaaaaaaat riiiiiiiiiicccceeee
and how does this sound anything like metallica? not a fan of this band, but the only time they've ever sounded like metallica was the crusade.
|
| |
INNNNNNNNNNNNN WAAAAAAAAAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
I am very disappoint. I've loved everything since Ascendancy, but this is a step in the wrong direction. Shogun was great, excellent actually, but this seems so mediocre it hurts...
|
| |
links are both dead btw
|
| |
RoadRunner lets a radio station play two new songs and they expect them not to surface on Youtube? What a bunch of Ass-Clowns.
