All right I guess. Now he needs to quit drinking as much, sober up a little bit and get back to working on the new Mastodon album.

that shit makes blood mountain look like a masterpiece
|
| |
this is horrible
|
| |
wow lol
|
| |
Oompa-loompas sound like they're pretty heavy
|
| |
Is thought that was Jack Black singing on the second one for a moment.
|
| |
I fear dearly for the future of Mastodon...
|
| |
pretty pointless
|
| |
Tsunami sounds like a song I once made in Garage Band...
|
| |
Is this a joke post? like a joke review...but a news article? -_____- guess not...
|
| |
Do they really need to be 2 different side-projects?
West End Motel sounds okay if I was just getting hammered at a bar and a few dudes in the corner were playing this music.
|
| |
aren't these old??
|
| |
what's wrong witchu guys? you're not supposed to take this super seriously. it's real, yeah, but if you dont like it then c'mon now.
|
| |
I don't know man...the first song just doesn't seem to have a nice mesh between the percussion and the rest of it. It's not lolbad but still.
|
| |
"West End Motel sounds okay if I was just getting hammered at a bar and a few dudes in the corner were playing this music."
That's kind of the idea, folks. If you've heard Mastodon or anything from the Atlanta area in the past 5 years, you know where the roots of these bands lie. So stuff like this shouldn't come as a surprise, nor should it worry anyone.
I think it's awesome that Brent does this for himself, although I do hope it's entirely parallel to Mastodon cuz we wouldn't want side projects to interfere with that shit.
|
| |
no, it has nothing to do with it not being heavy. i just thought that since brent is such a decent
guitar player, that altho not heavy, something better would have resulted. you can't be metal all the
time. i get that.
also, the start of that fiend without a face song reminds of wesley willis' "they
threw me outta church" a great song in its own right.
and having listened to that west end hotel song a few times, if they got rid of the crappy lead
vocals, they could be a decent drinking band
|
| |
i expected these to not be metal. its just that its not that good non-metal. the guitary track has a kind of charm to it though
|
| |
listen guys, it doesn't reflect on mastodon, these songs are old as the dickens. as in literally written at least since before crack the skye was released and probably before.
|
| |
I hope you're right, because these were terrible.
Solo projects are never really a good idea. See: BTBAM
|
| |
Fuck off with this shit and make a new Mastodon album, already.
|
| |
wow that sucked
