Do people still care about this band? I mean, the second album was alright, but there are so many bands out there doing the same thing a lot better.

because there are hundreds of artists that I've enjoyed maybe one or two albums by, if I kept them all my library would have 10's of thousands of songs, no thanks

if you listen to an artist you should be able to steadily enjoy the majority of their releases

@youthcat- Their past material wasn't that overly amazing, but I don't know. The minor flashes of brilliance they've shown have always made me think they have it in them to release a pretty damn awesome album if they just get their shit together. So I wait in hope.

I saw that too, Bloc. My inner bassman jumped with joy. I can't stand these "Let's-mix-the-bassist-out!" deathcore bands. Though the bassists don't really help themselves playing just root notes.

Hopefully BoO's bassist has been paying attention to Arif Miraldobaghi.

so much hatred haha. the new reign was a really fun album but the production was so bad. i hope they get around to rerecording it some day. a higher place was all right but it was boring after like 2 songs.

the new album seems promising though, based on what i've heard from the teasers and the studio vids they've put up. seems like they're learning to not rely on just breakdowns but we'll see.

and yes, the tapping was sweet haha. i hope we can actually hear it. i've noticed, though, that recently, "deathcore' bands have gotten a lot better in terms of having audible bass and more organic-sounding drums. but maybe it's just me

I didn't mind the first album too much. It got a little annoying. Open Arms of Damnation is a pretty solid song. Didn't check out their second album though.

Only song worth hearing is Open Arms Of Damnation off of The New Reign. This band is one of thousands doing the same exact thing...it gets old and boring.

^ If I could pick ONE BoO song to show someone, it would be An Ascent from A Higher Place. So good. Better than anything off The New Reign, Open Arms and Abstract Art included.

Liked the new reign, disliked a higher place. I have a feeling this one might be a 3-3.5

Am I the only one who likes this band? They made a generic album, and then completely detracted from it, while still maintaining their most synonymous traits. I mean, the guitar work on A Higher Place is actually pretty damn good. Maybe I just like the little scales thrown into the chugging, and how it breaks into really nice sounding black metal in Now Arise.

ANYWAY. I'm at least intrigued by this. But, album title is worse than "Downtown Battle Mountain Pt.2"

So funny to hear everyone call this band generic. Hey know nothings, their heavy use of harmonic minor and diminished riffing are really only comparable to maybe Necrophagist, yet they take rhythm and atmosphere into account way more, while offering more memorable slower melodies. Also their drumming is extremely creative, even their more basic songs sound captivating and memorable through their use of percussion. This album is going to pwn all.

That ep demo sounded really cool actually. Seems like they're staring to use their keyboardist as something more than a cheesy gimmick.

The New Reign sucked, and A Higher Place could have been fantastic but I couldn't tell with the awful production. If the album sounds like those demos then I think I'll really enjoy this

The New Reign was awesome, all of the songs were technical, short and well put together. A Higher Place was shit. Judging by the studio footage I've seen, this has potential to be great.

and every new thing that could possibly be brought to the table in deathcore has already been done about 200 times over by just about every other deathcore band.
so it's basically implied that any given deathcore band's new material is gonna suck immensely. it's the new nu-metal. hopefully this will die out soon as well
