Plus-44 Cancel Tour

2006-10-11 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 8 Comments
Despite knowing how happy it would make me, Travis Barker has decided not to drum one-handed on the upcoming Plus-44 tour.

Instead, the group have rescheduled the first leg dates of their North American tour to allow the drummer's fractured arm to recover. It was earlier suspected that the injury may be due to a tumour, however that appears to have been ruled out.

He had intended to follow in the footsteps of amputee Rick Allen of Def Leppard, whose manned the sticks for the band ever since losing his arm in a car accident almost twenty years ago. He plays with the aid of extra pedals.

"We can't wait to get out on the road and show everyone what we've been up to for the past year and a half," Barker said, adding that all rescheduled dates will take place in December.

The band's debut release, When Your Heart Stops Beating is due for release on November 14 in the US.

I am certainly interested in hearing their debut. Shame about his arm but at least by pushing the tour back the fans will know all the songs live as the album will be in stores by than.

Let it be known, if you take the '182' from Blink182 and the you "plus" 44 you get 222. Coincidence? I think not.

Um. 182 + 44 = 226. Does it not?

On topic: Heard one song from em, not bad, really mellow though. Was called no it isn't. Pretty catchy.
