when you run your own festivals and own your label, you make lots of money. Do they sell millions of albums? no, but they don't need to. If you're on a major label and sell 1 million copies, that money is getting split so many ways that the artist doesn't get much, but if you own your label, you get a bigger piece of the pie(i.e. most of the pie)
