Murder by Death DVD/Split 7

2010-08-07 by bmsmcr | 10 Comments
You can now preorder a copy of Murder by Death's first ever DVD celebrating 10 years of MBD. It features a 13 song set filmed from the 2009 Desert tour, plus a bunch of old videos from shows 2003-present. There are old photos, and a couple videos of them drunkenly messing around. Its really fun. There will be 2000 copies available only at the MBD webstore.
They are also releasing the next installment of the SEVEN SERIES- this time a split with their long-time Tour Manager/Merch Guy Dixie (who performs under the name Sam Lowry). It'll be a benefit for their friends' band O'Death, who have been having severe financial problems due to one of the members bout with bone cancer. Pick one of the 1000 copies up and help us help them out!

No information on the set list?

I'm pretty excited about this.

Yeah, I was bummed that they didn't release the set list yet as well. Should be cool though, I really like the art they have for it.

This will be excellent. To any one that is interested in the band but hasn't had the opportunity to see them live, you will be in for a treat. While live footage never quite lives up to actually being there, this is still destined to be great. They are an amazing live band.

Murder by Death had some very early live footage that was featured on Hellfest 2004 DVD? I'm not exactly sure which year.

They are amazing live, I try to see them every chance I get.

It was the Hellfest Vol III which was released in 04. They play "Those who left/Those who stayed".

I like Murder By Death, however I just saw them with mewithoutYou and sadly I didn't think they were very good live. However, mewithoutYou was amazing.

What show? I was at the Chicago stop and have to disagree completely. I think mewithoutYou is the better band (albeit their last release), but live, Murder By Death kills it. No pun intended.
