i don't really like it
|
| |
i trust your pontifications
|
| |
this band is really boring lol
|
| |
hope the rest of this album is darker like they said it would be
|
| |
Dark
|
| |
it aint that bad
|
| |
NTFP and Cities will never be topped. The latter is a complete masterpiece in my eyes. New Surrender..was..just..gross. A good song or two. Of all the bands I love, this is the last one I'd want to see decline.
When I heard new material recorded live months ago I was sooo disappointed.
However the last single released was pretty good, and I don't know what you guys are smoking, but I don't think this one's too bad. Doesn't stand out the most, but I love the verse's guitar and the chorus.
However, as time goes on, Stephen just gets uglier lol. Maybe it's just the retarded hair they're sporting. :>

| |
average at best
|
| |
its pretty good, but i thought this album was supposed to be darker? both the songs ive heard so far sound like they would have been at home on new surrender
|
| |
Sooo stocked for this record; they killed it with "We Owe This To Ourselves", and while this song isn't as great in my opinion, it still furthers my excitement for this.
|
| |
bland
|
| |
ok.
|
| |
Liked it. Guitar tones were amazing, I'm a sucker for the spacey delayed guitar :D
Not too dark yet, but w/e, it's still good. You can definitely hear Brendan O'Brien's mainstreamish influence (and top-notch production) in there.
|
| |
Mediocre. Disappointing. Yet I'm still anticipating the rest of the album.
|
| |
this is like the opposite of what theyve said so far. darker? not at all. magnum opus? i don't think so. it sounds like breaking 2, and though i liked breaking, i dont want another one. its not nearly as good as breaking. so far this sounds just like new surrender
|
| |
A bit disappointed but still very excited for the new album.
|
| |
hmmmm this is pretty darn good and i thought "we owe this to ourselves" was poop so...idk
|
| |
Eh...I liked the other song better. I'm really doubting a Cities-level album at this point.
|
| |
Song sounded pretty darn Anberlistic too me. Just remember guys, their singles have never been the true highlights of their albums imo.
|
| |
this is alright
|
| |
I didn't like it.
|
| |
I LOVE IT!!!
anberlin has never left my iPod, and it never will...
i don't see anything wrong with. i respect (100%) EVERY comment on this page, good or bad, but I LOVE THEM NO MATTER WHAT!
U GUYS ROCK!
SICK 4 THE NEW ALBUM!!!!!!! :D
|
| |
I quite like that other new song, this one though Zzzzzzzz
|
| |
song is gooooooold
|
| |
its on their myspace now too. and its growing on me.
|
| |
enjoyable. nothing special, but enjoyable.
good production. quite mainstream but okay...some one said it alrdy.
|
| |
Man I forgot how much I like Anberlin...
|
| |
yawn
|
| |
I hear Bruce Springsteen esque music all over this song. Am I way off base here?
|
| |
I admit it's growing on me now...
|
| |
I really like the opening guitarwork, otherwise the first song was better.
|
| |
I like this one. I thought both songs were pretty good. I also don't know why people don't like New Surrender.
|
| |
people don't like new surrender because most people (who have enjoyed Anberlin since the beginning) think it is their weakest release to date.
|
| |
Dear Sputnik,
I am wondering if there is anyone out there that, like me, thinks that fin is an overrated/overlong piece of music on an incredibly overhyped album that, to it's credit, does have some damn good songs, which fin is not.
I'm expecting a whole rash of "OMG FAGGOT IT"S SO EMOTIONAL U DONT UNDERSTAND!" crap.
|
| |
Adam, you are the patron saint of lost causes.
|
| |
nash, that's not really a reason. But whatever. Why do people find it to be their weakest album, then?
And on fin: I kind of agree, redsky. At first I could barely make it through the song. I still don't think it's as good as some people keep saying it is, but it's grown on me a lot since I first heard it. I think the length is pretty good. Also, I do think Cities is Anberlin's best.
|
| |
there is an album sampler floating around the internet...the rest of the songs (even though its very low quality and about 30 seconds of each song) make cities look like an upbeat album.
|
| |
Oooh, here comes the darkness.
