super meh
| |
song is them trying to be relevant
it was good until the part where it tried to be heavy
| |
I thought it was actually pretty good, compared to some of their previous work. 3.5/5
| |
It's solid, but standard Disturbed really, nothing more, nothing less.
| |
It had a couple of good parts, but overall I think it's mediocre.
| |
they definitely stick to their formula. lyrics were good, video would get most people to be emotional, which would increase the liking of the song, so good attempt at the psychological manipulation. the song is terrible. no surprise there.
| |
awesome
| |
pretty good.. would have been awesome if it wasn't for that long solo...
| |
Wow...that was worse than I expected. Bad lyrics, worse singing (except for the beginning) and a downright terrible chorus. Video sucked too.
| |
Song is disturbingly bad
| |
I like the sing along option
| |
Did not enjoy the song at all, chorus was very weak. But the solo was nice, Donegan is getting really good.
| |
lol disturbed
| |
That was bad. Every song on Indestructible was better than that. Boring riff, awkward melody, the solo was okay but Donegan's done much better than that.
| |
Oh no. I really hope the rest of the album is better than this....
| |
Oh no. I really hope the rest of the album is better than this....
| |
The beginning actually showed a lot of potential. I found myself actually enjoying it until about mid-way through it got super-lame...got a bad feeling about their new album. It'll be worse than Indestructible...
| |
Intro was cool and the rest was good if you like Disturbed sound, because it sounds exactly like Ten Thousand Fists. Hopefully they might try a new sound on this album.
| |
Meh. Really nothing new. First riff was decent, quickly went downhill from there.
| |
Isn't that how all their songs go?
| |
Pretty much, so this is just an average Disturbed song, but this time with pictures of animals covered in tar.
| |
ugggggggggggggh. well, we all knew it was coming.
"GUYS! i just thought of an awesome way to really separate ourselves from the rest of the drones in music!"
"How's that Draiman???!"
"Get this... let's write a song... about humanity's toll... on the environment..."
"... my God. quick, fire up The Day After Tomorrow and start writing lyrics before Mother Earth wipes us out"
| |
I really enjoyed it.
| |
Just played any of their songs off the last 4 albums in my head instead of clicking the link.
| |
Song started off well... got repetitive quickly, and seeing as its only about 4 minutes long, that makes it even worse.
Not really looking forward to this. Was pretty hyped for Indestructible before it came out, and it stopped getting frequent plays on my iPod only about a month after it came out. Definitely a dissappointing album.
| |
WOW that was epically bad
| |
Wasn't that bad.
| |
band is a guilty pleasure: like the singer.
| |
Gotta' give Disturbed some Kudo's for reminding metalheads that Karaoke is serious shit.
| |
Why was there a clip of the 2004 tsunami in the video? That was a natural disaster.
| |
Officially no longer interested. If the entire song was like the intro I would have actually really enjoyed it. This is the same thing they've done on every album all over again.
| |
This song made me completely lose any interest. This is the blandest thing they've ever done. The intro was really good but it just went downhill immediately.
| |
Basically what I thought during the intro was, "This isn't that great... but at least it doesn't sound like everything else they've ever done..." And then it picked up the pace and it was reversed.
| |
Ummmm yeah
That was terrible
| |
I like it. Of course it's not subtle, and of course it's no progression over the bands older stuff - It's Disturbed, you have to take those things for granted.
Still looking foward to the album
| |
that was the musical equivalent of trying to squeeze out some gas but shitting your pants instead. this is the kind of modern music grandmothers 'get'.
| |
The genre of oil spill-core has begun.
| |
LOL @ oil spill-core
| |
Nothing groundbreaking, but it isn't bad.
| |
i hate the way he goes up and down when he said maniacal appetite
| |
1 Minute in and it transforms from semi-originality to pretty much every other song by them. Thanks once again, Disturbed.
| |
I was expecting it to be bad...
Holy shit that was awful.
| |
@fromtheinside: I did see it coming with Indestructible.
| |
I dunno, Indestructible isn't the greatest thing ever but it still has some great songs. This track, on the other hand, was just awful.
| |
A shitty album with a few great songs is still a shitty album.
| |
exept all the songs are shitty
| |
this ably provided everything i require (and enjoy) from a typical disturbed song
| |
I think of it in terms of ratios. As in, the ratio of good songs to bad songs. A low ratio warrants a shit album while a high ratio warrants a good album.
| |
Not good, not bad. aka typical Disturbed
| |
Bloc: No shit
| |
Dev thinks he knows what a ratio is
lol
| |
This is better news than Radiohead having a new album.
| |
@bloc: I usually buy whole albums and listen all the way through, so in most cases I don't focus on individual songs. With something like Indestructible I'd probably just get the two or three songs that stood out most (if I wasn't too busy collecting other music).
| |
You see, I do that with every album I ever listen to. I keep the songs I like and discard the rest.
| |
It sucks to buy a whole album and then only keep a couple of songs from it, though. In some cases, I get a whole album, and I only like a couple of songs at first but the rest of it grows on me.
| |
But why would you buy an album without listening to it first? Unless you have an insane amount of confidence in the band, I think it is always best to download the album first, and see if it is truly worth your money. I have over 100 physical albums and I don't regret purchasing a single one because of this.
| |
Usually I'll listen to it on YouTube/streaming/etc., and once I know I like about a third of a songs, I know from experience that I'll like the rest of the album (as long as it's not a ridiculously varied album like the A7X self-titled).
| |
*of THE songs.
| |
I liked it, to be honest.
| |
Disturbed does care.
| |
...About making money.
