All Saints Reform 2006-09-20 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 9 Comments | Girl-group All Saints have reformed after five years and plan to release a new single in November.
'Rock Steady' is the group's first release since they split 2001; they scored five number one singles in as many years before splitting, the best known of which are 'Never Ever' and 'Pure Shores,' the latter from The Beach sountrack.
Nicole and Natalie recorded a vastly underrated album under the name 'Appletonn,' and songwriter Shaznay Lewis released a solo album in 2004, but neither project amounted to much.
The group signed a new deal with Parlophone Records in January of this year. They plan to begin touring the UK extensively next year.

I'm actually looking forward to this. Their albums were very weak, but not their singles.
| | | Well, a group with very little talent, singing songs they did not write, and selling sex to sell records and the various other products girl groups are alined with, getting back together years after, looks going, with the same talent level as before, am I missing something here, or did some record head make another large mistake. | | | Actually, only one of the groups members wrote anything of major importance on both their self-titled and their follow up. One out of four, co-writing music with a producer, does not seem all that significant in terms of resigning a whole group.

I made my point, you made a feeble attempt to contradict it, and I pointed out the flaw with your argument. That is debating, learn to do it without making lame comments that point out your age.

Three tracks on the album were produced by William Orbit, known for his work with Madonna including the first single "Pure Shores" which was written for The Beach movie. The vast majority of the songs were written by Shaznay Lewis and Karl Gordon and some contributions by Melanie Blatt.
| | | Karl Gordon is a producer, not a member of the group, and Melanie Blatt, as you can read, only added some material to the album.
| | | I was refering to the band at hand. Shaznay co-wrote the music with a producer, and I hardly believe Melanie adding her two cents to the album counts as much in the ways of calling her a co-writer, for the most part, she wasn't apart of the process. Looking at a track list, she is not even credited on any one song.
| | | Man I hate bands where every member doesn't contribute to the songwriting process! The Smiths, Aztec Camera, ABBA, The Beach Boys etc. etc. etc.
Or worse, when singers sing songs written by other people (every rock artist prior to the 70s, every pop artist ever)
