Does anybody like this band?
|
| |
Yes.
|
| |
Although this song doesn't do much for me. A Boy named Goo, Dizzy Up the Girl, and Gutterflower are strong records however.
|
| |
I actually need to listen to these guys more.
|
| |
^this
|
| |
dizzy up the girl is one of my fav. records.
this sounded decent so im sure it will grow
|
| |
ever since i heard black balloons, i could never get into this band.
|
| |
I used to love the hell out of that song Big Machine when I was younger.
|
| |
wow! I'm pleasantly surprised I'm not the only one that's excited for this! Goo Goo Dolls are a longtime favorite of mine... new stuff (they've been playing a lot more than one new song at shows) sounds superb from what I've heard. Seen many a concert with my mom when I was younger with them ; )
|
| |
From what I've heard they make some awesome singles. Never boughten one of thier albums though...
|
| |
I dig the guy's voice, but they've never been groundbreaking. They're good for what they are.
|
| |
Not bad. They'll never make anything better than what they did in the Dizzy Up the Girl days.
|
| |
You could make a pretty strong mix CD with the best songs off a Boy Named Goo, Dizzy Up the Girl, and Gutterflower alone.
1. Naked
2. Long Way Down
3. Dizzy
4. Burning Up
5. Slide
6. Broadway
7. Here is Gone
8. Sympathy
9. Big Machine
10. Black Balloon
11. Flat Top
12. Aint That Unusual
13. Acoustic #3
14. Name
15. What a Scene
16. Tucked Away
17. Iris
18. Bulletproof
19. Eyes Wide Open

band is a guilty pleasure, specifically their older material that nobodys heard of anymore
|
| |
oh man checking this out
|
| |
Only heard Iris, but I liked it.
|
| |
Dude get yourself some more, like the songs in that mix I posted. If you like Iris you'll like most of those.
|
| |
how can you not like iris
|
| |
I would sell my soul for this band to break up and Isis to get down off of their artistic high horse and keep making music, even if they feel like they are treading water. You listening, Satan?
|
| |
FUCK THE GOO GOO DOLLS THEY CAN SUCK MY BALLS! THEY LOOK LIKE THE DOGS THAT HANG OUT AT THE MALL!
|
| |
They were my fave. band in Jr. High. Have you heard Up Yours Jabberwocky?
|
| |
Who the hell do they think they are insulting Lewis Carroll like that by invoking his work? He was a fine, upstanding, hallucinogen addicted pedophile.
|
| |
This band is one of my huge guilty pleasure bands.....@agentzero, your avatar of the dr.rockso poser just made my day
|
| |
yeah that song's pretty sweet, I don't have Jed though. Superstar Car Wash is one of my favorite albums by them, but then I got Hold Me Up, and I wasn't digging it as much. So now I don't know if I want to go further back or not
|
| |
Song was meh, but I like the Goo Goo Dolls, so I'll check the album out
|

Song was meh, but I like the Goo Goo Dolls, so I'll check the album out [2]
AND I DON'T WANT THE WORLD TO SEE ME!
|
| |
yeah this song isnt as good as their previous singles
|
| |
I thought it was a good first release for the new album, although it is not my favorite track. I think it is catchy enough to get radio play, but not destined to be a classic like many other singles of the past. I am curious to see what their second release from the album will be. I also strongly encourage people to take the time to read the stories behind the songs. This new album is more emotionally charged and less sentimental than some of the previous albums, and offers much promise.
