From ORL:

Do you happen to know if someone else is featured on the ORL + John Frusciante collab?

one album is just omar and john
the other is the quartet which is omar, juan, john and marcel

The albums Omar recorded with John are going to be released separatedly or at the same time?

i will give information when it's ready. Some things are left to be found out - enjoy surprises. I do

I'm taking a hard stance on this: Stop making albums that don't have Cedric Bixler-Zavala on them.

some of the stuff he's done with Frusciante is really good, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw6Flzw8h6E so this should be good.

Lol I'm imagining the fans who think they're just so hardcore and into TMV/Omar that they buy every one of his releases. There seriously can't be many people who look forward to these.

O MA GOODNESS!
I do like Omar, but this might just be too much. However! To know that John Frusciante is alongside him is good to hear; he'll hopefully keep him on track.

It's not like his songwriting quality suffers because of the quantity? Does it?

Enotron

People are under the impression that he rushes them, so the quality is bad, when really all he does is record music. For every blunt Method Man smokes, Omar releases a record(that's how I like to think of it).

His last two records have been wank-less and pretty much songwritting based(which is partially why they're bad).

I think the only album most people have heard by him is Cryptomnesia.

Umm woah. What should I say... The fact that he works with Frusciante on a solo album once again is interesting, but the fact that he releases an album is anything but surprising.

I've listened to Old Money once (the whole album). It was cool - what albums do you like from Omar? Oh, but wait, this is Sputnik. Mars Volta & Omar's productions are a taboo excluding De-loused.

A Manual Dexterity is a really great record. I also like Se Dice and Calibration, but I can see why people don't like those records.

If you're into his more well written and restraint side: Xenophanes
If you're into ambient and artsy, yet still consistent stuff: A Manual Dexterity
If you like musical masturbation: Cryptomnesia
Old Money is generally consider his most interesting, yet strong record
Se Dice and Calibration are kind of jazzy and messy.

There should really be a "Countdown to next OR-L Release" at the top of the site's homepage. Wouldn't need more than 2 digits, ever, unless you were doing it in hours.
