I hope this isn't Blue Lambency 2.0. But CotE 2.0 would be nice.

Shit, CotE live would be fuckin' amazing.

Still, my optimism for this is pretty guarded. The first song they released from Coyote didn't butter my hide...

IMO anything that Toby Driver writes is worth a listen- he's a really talented musician and isn't afraid to think outside the box. Plus, this band really is one of a kind and there isn't anyone else out there doing what these guys are. Am I expecting another Choirs? No, I won't be getting my hopes up about that. Regardless.. I'm sure this CD will be just as unique and interesting as anything else he has put out and I'm definitely looking forward to it just to hear what he has in store (you never know what to expect haha.. which is the fun of it).

Keep trying that MOTW. It'll hit you, I'm pretty sure. It was a grower for me too and I can usually dive right into Toby's stuff.

As for this, I expect deliciousness.

waaaat, how are they possibly going to be able to play CotE properly? Wayfarer has like 100 tracks. The first song I heard off of this was terrible, so idk.

overall, i'm real excited and a little happy that this got pushed back to april. this and joanna newsom's triple album in one month would just be too much for me. and i wish i was in new york. because toby's doing a ton of really cool stuff at the stone this month, including a jam with john zorn and greg massi. but yeah, coyote will own regardless.

Someone better bootleg that gig, I'd kill for a live Choirs of the Eye.

Wow @ the comments on the newspage

Well I am going to drive down to New-York from MTL to see this show. There's no way I'm going to miss this.

Can't wait for the release of coyote too, I liked what I heard so far.

Haha, well I guess if he was a band... and if he were still alive... yeah I definitely would. I mean come on... who is better than Stanley? I guess his movies aren't for everyone but if you're one of those people that enjoys those kinds of films he is basically a god. Haha that could actually perfectly apply to Kayo Dot as well. I wish he would've made more horror films though- even his movies that weren't meant to be horror are scarier than most garbage horror that comes out these days.

^nah.... Choirs is one of the best cds ever written so even though the following two didn't quite live up to it, you cant really blame them because they set the bar impossibly high.. plus dowsing and blue lambency are still great cds in their own right.. just harder to get in to.. I guess the band itself isn't for everyone though
