Incubus' New Album-"It kicks" 2006-08-10 by Stormy Smiley Face | 18 Comments | "It kicks, it bites, it loves, it hurts. It's the closest we've ever come to being the band we want to be."
So says vocalist Brandon Boyd of the amazing Rock band Incubus. "Light Grenades", the follow-up to 2004's "A Crow Left Of Murder" is set for a mid-November release.
Guitarist Mike Einzinger says that, "It sounds like 13 different bands playing 13 different songs".
And Brandon also said this, "Every time we're about to start making a new album, I tell myself, 'Okay, this one's going to be cohesive', and it never happens. That's who we are as a band, and that's kind of how we are as people."
I don't know about you guys, but I'm sure as heck excited.

I don't really like this band anyway. Only a song here or there, so I doubt I'll check this out...

I can't wait for this to come out. I saw a pic of Brandon in the studio working with some of the alt percussion again. Hopefully that'll have some presence on here like in the past.

Hm, this better be good. ACLOTM was okay, but not up to Incubus standards. Anyone know a release date?

Erm, mid November as mentioned before? It'll be official when the album reaches the end of its production stage.

Their old stuff (SCIENCE, Fungus) is way better, but I want to remain optimistic, in hopes that it will actually be great.

From what I've heard of the new tracks, they are less than stellar. But hell, I said the same thing about ACLOTM, which is probably my favorite Incubus album now.

I think ACLOTM was Incubus's first album made while on hard drugs.

I don't think I will get this.... I've kinda given up on them after i wasted money on A crow. I attempted listening to it again and it sucked. and after that the songs for the Stealth OST... not good.

Loved SCIENCE. I never listened to ACLOTM but I hated Megalomaniac, seems like an incredibly egotistical song.
